It said five degrees on the thermometer when I let the pooch out to do her business at 6:30 this morning. However with the slight wind that was blowing it was most certainly below zero I surmised as I peered through the sliding glass door. She sure didn’t need much convincing to hurry up and get the job done and get back inside the 55 degree house. In my bid to show the green weenies we all care about the environment I decided to do my part to save the planet this winter and refrain from using my 98% efficient central heating unit. No doubt I saved someone or something somewhere because of my sacrifices or at least I will do what all of these global warming alarmists do and convince myself I have.

Anyone else out there amazed at all of the news concerning the weather? Word has it virtually all of Canada is expecting a white Christmas for the first time since 1971. We have Beijing recording its coldest day in 57 years. Wind chill adjusted temperatures dropped to 30 below zero in Chicago and ten below in New York City.

The midwest is getting hammered with sleet, ice and freezing rain while Seattle digs out from eight to 12 inches of snow. It even snowed in Malibu California! Are you kidding me?! Al Gore, can we get some answers here as to what the hell is going on? I mean you are the climate expert right?

Funny how the enviro-weenies had to swap out their beloved “global warming” moniker for the more abstract “climate change” when record cold spells began to take place earlier than they ever had in years all over the world. Of course the climate changes! Let’s see we go from winter to spring, from spring to summer, from summer to fall then back to winter. See how simple that was?

Now wouldn’t that be a great thing to see, Al Gore getting his fat ass dragged into court and having the chance to explain this “climate change” nonsense, under oath, that he has been perpetuating all over the planet for the last several years. And here we thought those wacky Nigerians were really really good with their multi million dollar scams.

Like the saying goes… follow the money and boy does Al Gore have plenty of that. His Oscar winning but factually lacking docu-“thing” “An Inconvenient Truth,” a Nobel Peace Prize (two rewards from the lefty lunatic fringe) and some private market ventures including a cable TV channel have generated some serious bank for big Al and it’s a damn good thing too!

Wait just a minute here I thought the liberals despised the big greedy corporations in this country? You know like GM, Chrysler and Ford. Those nasty evil corporations that plunder the environment of raw materials to build stuff, turn an insanely huge profit on the backs of struggling workers barely getting by on low pay and anemic fringe benefits all the while lining the pockets of all those rich and rascally Republicans.

The liberals and domestic autoworker union members are bellyaching all over the place about the Senate voting down the automaker bailout bill and of course blaming the Republicans for its demise. (While these union people lash out only at the Republicans that voted against the bill and not the Democratic senators that were opposed to it they fail to mention their union gave $1.9 million to Democrats but only $11,500 to Republicans in the 2008 election cycle.) In actuality if the Democrats that voted NO and the ones that didn’t vote at all would have stepped up, including Harry Reid the Senate majority leader, and all voted YES it would have been a done dealeo since at least 10 Republicans voted against the wishes of the American people and followed the herd for passage of this abomination.

just a regular guy was thinking….

I often wonder why some teachers do the dumbest things which they must clearly know will result in legal action against their school district. I’m almost to the point where I think it just may be intentional in some cases.

It seems eighth grade social studies teacher Eileen Bernstein, a white lady who works out of Haverstraw Middle School in Haverstraw New York, thought it would be a great idea to take a couple of black kids in her class and show them just what it was like to be a slave some 150 years ago. It’s hard to know where to begin with this one other than to say you just know this teacher has probably pulled similar stunts like this in the past with her students and has finally been called on one.

In this day and age where information must be provided to adults at a seventh grade reading level because a large part of the population cannot grasp and comprehend anything deeper than that we continue to have these people in charge of our children’s education pushing the dumbed down emotion based liberal agenda in the classrooms throughout the land.

The CEOs for the Big Three automakers are getting ready to re-pitch their hopes for a taxpayer bailout to the world’s largest piggy bank, also known as our U.S. Congress, throughout this week. When these guys showed up with their tin cups and pet monkeys last month they ran into a bit of criticism by those holding the purse strings for having the audacity of arriving in Washington via private jets. Keep in mind those doing the hand slapping and finger pointing are the same folks that spent 621 million dollars (nearly nine times the original budget) on the brand spanking new Capitol Visitors Center so our esteemed Congressional representatives don’t have to smell stinky tourist who stop by to see how our government “works.”

When the CEOs first came to Washington looking to snag a nice round 25 billion dollar share of taxpayer money giveaways they were astonished to find out that a few people wanted to know what their game plan was to turn things around in their businesses so this chunk of change they were asking for wouldn’t simply go *poof*. “Ah, what? A game plan? Gee we didn’t think of bringing that!”

Face it, liberals are afflicted with a mental disorder and they seem to be the only ones that fail to realize it. The disconcerting issue to so many that do not subscribe to their disjointed point of view is how so many of these clinically mad (as in loopy) people have so thoroughly infiltrated many vital parts of society all over the world.

WorldNetDaily.com recently ran an article discussing this situation with Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the tome, “The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness.” Dr. Rossiter, who received his training from the University of Chicago, boasts over 35 years of diagnosing and treating more than 1,500 patients as a board-certified clinical psychiatrist and has examined more than 2,700 civil and criminal cases as a board-certified forensic psychiatrist.

Dr. Rossiter said in the article that “based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded. Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave.”

Before the presidential election Howard Stern decided to pull a brief “man on the street” segment and had one of his staff ask a few people, that stated they were supporters of Obama, some questions just to see how up to speed they were on the issues.

Stunningly clueless on the candidate’s stances these dolts were obviously supporting Obama based solely and simply……on skin color.

“If you don’t vote for Obama you are a racist!” “What’s the matter? Afraid of a black man being in a position of power?” “If Obama loses, racism is the only reason McCain might beat him.”

Yeah, we are all sick and tired of this nonsense but don’t think it’s over because the presidential campaign came to an end. Over and over and again and again the “R” word mantra was dragged out and thrown onto the floor in front of Republicans. Don’t look at Obama’s ideology and background just vote for him because he has a nice suntan.

Well I’m sure it may have worked on a few Republicans and we know it did with most Democrats but how come we have a double standard in this country when it comes to voting for black candidates? Barack Obama is not an “African American”, he is bi-racial with a white mother and a father with African ancestry. Since it was much more politically advantageous to do so Obama ran almost exclusively as a black candidate while throwing his “white side” into the back of the closet. His Caucasian lineage was hardly ever brought up throughout the primaries and general election except when it came in handy.

This election was touted as one where America could finally throw off the burden of racism and the chains of her past and move beyond the racial divide…if we could all just come together, see the light and vote for Obama. The healing will begin, our country will miraculously come together and we will all hold hands and sing songs in the middle of the street…if we just vote for Obama.

It has been revealed that the San Fransisco Chronicle had a little bark and fetch with Obama back in January of ‘08 concerning his energy policies and by golly somebody happened to have a camera rolling. The first question that came to my mind is where the hell has this information been for the last ten months? Why was this media outlet keeping it under wraps while Obama was out campaigning throughout coal mining states since this interview promising the residents that he had their best interests in mind? Why is it that so many people in this country are sandbagging information that would show Obama for what he really is? I wonder if Hillary Clinton would have liked to have had her hands on this tape during the primary? Gee, ya think?
