The Bush administration said it would provide a total of $17.4 billion in loans for GM and Chrysler. As part of the bailout, GM and Chrysler will have to open their books to the government and meet restructuring targets such as reducing their debt and hammering out deals with the United Auto Workers to cut labor costs.

Ford gets to keep their books closed and away from the government nitwits and in the end will certainly benefit from the deals and concessions made with union workers and parts suppliers as a result of GM and Chrysler opting to receive taxpayer money “to save their businesses.” In addition the company secures a 9 billion dollar line of credit through the government at a much lower interest rate than they could ever get “on the outside” but feel confident they may not have to tap into that option. Smart move Ford and damn fine video.

Republican Congressional House members Sue Myrick of North Carolina and Frank Wolf of Virginia sent a sternly worded message to AIG CEO Edward Liddy, think twice before offering Sharia Law compliant insurance products to the public. In a three page letter the two House members spelled out the danger with this Sharia based financial stuff and what it is really all about…radical Islamic ideology and the way this cancer is rapidly spreading throughout the world.

Wait just a minute here I thought the liberals despised the big greedy corporations in this country? You know like GM, Chrysler and Ford. Those nasty evil corporations that plunder the environment of raw materials to build stuff, turn an insanely huge profit on the backs of struggling workers barely getting by on low pay and anemic fringe benefits all the while lining the pockets of all those rich and rascally Republicans.

The liberals and domestic autoworker union members are bellyaching all over the place about the Senate voting down the automaker bailout bill and of course blaming the Republicans for its demise. (While these union people lash out only at the Republicans that voted against the bill and not the Democratic senators that were opposed to it they fail to mention their union gave $1.9 million to Democrats but only $11,500 to Republicans in the 2008 election cycle.) In actuality if the Democrats that voted NO and the ones that didn’t vote at all would have stepped up, including Harry Reid the Senate majority leader, and all voted YES it would have been a done dealeo since at least 10 Republicans voted against the wishes of the American people and followed the herd for passage of this abomination.

The CEOs for the Big Three automakers are getting ready to re-pitch their hopes for a taxpayer bailout to the world’s largest piggy bank, also known as our U.S. Congress, throughout this week. When these guys showed up with their tin cups and pet monkeys last month they ran into a bit of criticism by those holding the purse strings for having the audacity of arriving in Washington via private jets. Keep in mind those doing the hand slapping and finger pointing are the same folks that spent 621 million dollars (nearly nine times the original budget) on the brand spanking new Capitol Visitors Center so our esteemed Congressional representatives don’t have to smell stinky tourist who stop by to see how our government “works.”

When the CEOs first came to Washington looking to snag a nice round 25 billion dollar share of taxpayer money giveaways they were astonished to find out that a few people wanted to know what their game plan was to turn things around in their businesses so this chunk of change they were asking for wouldn’t simply go *poof*. “Ah, what? A game plan? Gee we didn’t think of bringing that!”

It has been revealed that the San Fransisco Chronicle had a little bark and fetch with Obama back in January of ‘08 concerning his energy policies and by golly somebody happened to have a camera rolling. The first question that came to my mind is where the hell has this information been for the last ten months? Why was this media outlet keeping it under wraps while Obama was out campaigning throughout coal mining states since this interview promising the residents that he had their best interests in mind? Why is it that so many people in this country are sandbagging information that would show Obama for what he really is? I wonder if Hillary Clinton would have liked to have had her hands on this tape during the primary? Gee, ya think?

If nothing else Barney Frank always says what’s on his mind. Oh sure he flat out lies about his involvement with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac but keeping his well used mouth shut is certainly not one of his strong points.

Spend like drunken sailors, disregard any budget deficits and tax all those evil rich people we have out there getting away without paying their fair share. The liberal game plan for America has now been exposed because the Democrats think they have the election wrapped up and are counting on a filibuster proof lock on Congress. Just think, the most liberal member of the Senate as president, that uber liberal whack job Nancy Pelosi iron fisting garbage legislation through the House and that mealy mouthed left wing nutjob embarrassment from Nevada, Harry Reid, controlling a 60 member majority in the Senate and we have the perfect trifecta for disaster in this country for the next four years.

It’s getting old. The continuous stream of left wing hacks led by Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Chris Dodd and Barney Frank et al trotting in front of the TV cameras….and lying their collective asses off concerning this “financial crisis” that was created, fostered and ultimately barfed all over the American citizens by the Democrats. Much of the blame for the misinformation can be laid at the feet of what some people refer to as professional reporters. These people often leave us shaking our heads not for what they asked these pathological fibbers but for what they DIDN’T ask. I’m sure I am joined by a large group of awfully intelligent taxpayers that spend a great deal of time yelling the questions we would like to have thrown at these purveyors of B(ovine) S(catology) helplessly at our high def flat panel Sonys, our pets staring up at us like we have truly lost our marbles.

So, the meltdown on Wall Street has exposed Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the Jimmy Carter Community Reinvestment Act for what they really were. Another Democrat handout to people that wouldn’t otherwise qualify to buy a home and a terrific source of campaign cash and suitcases full of money for the party and their cronies. Oh sure we hear the real problem was actually credit conundrums, stocks swings, derivative deviations, bond bombs, Republican deregulation of banks and investment firms and of course the ubiquitous “it’s all Bush’s fault” from the “never at fault for anything” Democrats.” What is really infuriating to conservatives is this constant drumbeat of lies and redirection from the truth brought by the Democrats and their buddies in the mainstream media. Keep pounding that drum, get some help from the Washington Post, New York Times, msnbc et al and eventually it appears to be reality. Facts be damned.
