Arlington mayor fires at Obama online

In the opinion of Arlington Mayor Russell Wiseman, President Barack Obama’s speech on Tuesday night on the war in Afghanistan was deliberately timed to block the Christian message of the “Peanuts” television Christmas special. Wiseman made the statements on his Facebook page, where he declared Obama to be a Muslim. Only people on Wiseman’s “friend’s list” had access to the post. He has more than 1,600 friends on Facebook. “Ok, so, this is total crap, we sit the kids down to watch ‘The Charlie Brown Christmas Special’ and our muslim president is there, what a load…..try to convince me that wasn’t done on purpose. Ask the man if he believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and he will give you a 10 minute disertation [sic] about it….w…hen the answer should simply be ‘yes’….” [Right on Mayor Wiseman. Tell me again what CHRISTIAN church the Obama’s attend on a regular basis? Yeah, you can’t…ed]

Breaking: Obama’s “Safe Schools Czar” Is Promoting Child Porn in the Classroom– Kevin Jennings and the GLSEN Reading List

Scott Baker from Breitbart-TV.com and Co-Host of ‘The B-Cast‘ submitted this shocking report today on Obama’s deviant Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings. (SNIP) Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings was the founder, and for many years, Executive Director of an organization called the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). GLSEN started essentially as Jennings’ personal project and grew to become the culmination of his life’s work. And he was chosen by President Obama to be the nation’s Safe Schools Czar primarily because he had founded and led GLSEN. GLSEN’s stated mission is to empower gay youth in the schools and to stop harassment by other students. It encourages the formation of Gay Student Alliances and condemns the use of hateful words. [Grab your kids and hold them close all you parents out there. These creeps are coming after them and they have a captive audience once you drop them off at school…ed]

Judge: Parents bigots for opposing ‘gay’ lessons

A judge has attacked parents, suggesting they are bigots for seeking to opt-out their elementary-age children from a mandatory controversial pro-homosexual curriculum, according to a non-profit law firm. The parents were represented in California’s Alameda Superior Court by Pacific Justice Institute. On Dec. 1, Judge Frank Roesch denied a motion to allow them to have their children excused from the lessons. According to the group, Roesch blasted the parents for seeking enforcement of a provision of the California Education Code that gives parents a right to opt their kids out of health education. Education Code Section 51240 allows a parent to have a student excused from instruction, “If any part of a school’s instruction in health conflicts with the religious training and beliefs of a parent or guardian of a pupil.” However, Pacific Justice Institute said Roesch repeatedly insinuated that the parents are bigots and insisted there can be no homosexual indoctrination because, he purportedly argued, people are born that way. Comcast-NBC Deal: Does the Merger’s Approval Rest on Health Care?

I’ll be the first to admit that anti-trust law is not my strong suit. The myriad implications of cable giant Comcast’s proposed acquisition of NBC are complexities beyond the grasp of most mortals. Legions of attorneys will put legions of children through college with the fees that this transaction will generate. This is the kind of stimulus that will inject much-needed capital into the private country club sector of the economy. But beyond the regulatory and legal minutia that technically govern this proposed deal, one obscenely crass, downright offensive action by Comcast’s CEO warrants the application of withering scrutiny to the merger. A day, one single day, after the two media giants announced their deal, Comcast CEO Brian Roberts proudly weighed in to strongly support the Senate Democrats’ health care reform bill. [When Obama spoke of transparency in his administration who knew he meant blatant stuff like this where governmental approval of this merger “probably” hinged on the company CEO heartily endorsing the federal government takeover of our healthcare system. It couldn’t be more obvious and fortunately consumers have many other choices besides Comcast and nbc…ed]

‘Inexcusable’ actions in Va. Tech killings report

Some Virginia Tech administrators warned their families and ordered the president’s office locked well before the rest of the campus was notified a gunman was on the loose, according to a revised state report on the deadliest shooting rampage in U.S. history. Virginia’s governor called some of the administrators’ actions “inexcusable,” and some victims’ relatives who have been demanding the resignation of President Charles Steger ever since the 2007 massacre that left 33 people dead reacted bitterly to the findings. “He’s got to live with himself,” said Dennis Bluhm, who lost his son. “If he’s got any heart at all, and I’m not sure he does, he’s got a long life to live with this on his brain.” [Say, I’ll bet anyone a large beer Virginia Tech president Steger is one of those people that are adamantly opposed to students, who can otherwise legally own a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon on campus…ed]

‘Special relationship’ blossoms between Hillary Clinton and David Miliband

The Anglo-American relationship just got a bit more special. Hillary Clinton, the US Secretary of State, has already admitted to an unlikely crush on David Miliband, the Foreign Secretary. Yesterday one of the more unlikely pairings in international politics went one stage farther when a Nato meeting in Brussels was the forum for some weapons-grade flirting. It started with a greeting in the form of an affectionate arm rub, moved on to a series of coquettish glances from Mrs Clinton that weren’t so much smouldering as positively incendiary — and, well, if it had gone any farther, there is little doubt that the meeting would have been drowned out with cries of “Get a room!” (Although, of course, if they did it would doubtless only be to discuss contemporary issues in global development policy). [Yeeesh, dude, get out now and save yourself. Seriously, it’s gotta smell like an old damp abandoned cellar “down there!” I mean her horn dog husband, who would screw a knothole in a fence board in a pinch, won’t even tap that keg!…ed]

Dubious science drives climate fears

By now, the attentive public everywhere has learned about the scam called Climategate despite the mainstream media’s reluctance to prominently report it. This is about the manipulating of science, fudging of data, excluding the work of skeptical scientists and preventing peer-reviewed journals to publish dissenting views as well as trashing historical temperature records and e-mail evidence from the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit in the United Kingdom. This scam is likely the tip of the rot inside the UN-based International Panel on Climate Change that has driven the politics of man-made global warming. What the scam at the CRU reveals is how individuals, corrupted by the lure of money and influence, subscribed to the UN-based scheme for the largest global tax grab and revenue transfer — some version of global carbon tax — by raising false alarms about impending planetary doom in the name of science. [U.S. taxpayers fund nearly 25% of the United Nation’s budget not to mention their building sits on some very expensive prime time New York real estate. What do ya say we just pull out of this corrupt organization and boot the clowns the hell out of our country?…ed]

Skeptics press Obama on climate summit

Climate-change skeptics, fired up by the controversy over a series of British scientists’ e-mails, are putting President Obama on notice: Don’t commit the United States to any long-term goals at next week’s climate summit in Copenhagen. One of the strongest such warnings has come from a member of the president’s own party, Sen. Jim Webb of Virginia. “Recent statements by Special Envoy for Climate Change Todd Stern indicate that negotiators may be intending to commit the United States to a nationwide emission-reduction program,” Mr. Webb wrote in a letter to the president. “As you well know from your time in the Senate, only specific legislation agreed upon in the Congress, or a treaty ratified by the Senate, could actually create such a commitment on behalf of our country.” Some prominent skeptics are going further, arguing that Mr. Obama should not attend the summit at all. “Every time he attends, he will give something away,” said Fred Singer, a professor emeritus of environmental science at the University of Virginia. [Unfortunately for this country Obama is on a mission and the best interests of America is certainly not part of his program. Rest assured when, not if, he goes he’ll, true to form, commit us to something we do not want him to…ed]

Snow dusts the South from Louisiana to Georgia

Louisiana got its earliest snowflakes ever as people across the South awakened to a dusting of powder. White House Aide Once Quipped About Enabling Party Crashers

The White House social secretary under fire for her office’s role in the security breakdown that let an uninvited couple into a state dinner once joked that she regularly allowed party crashers at White House events. Desiree Rogers made the claim in an interview with the trade magazine BizBash at the Creative Coalition’s annual meeting in June — months before two reality-TV wannabes crashed Obama’s party last week for the Indian prime minister. “Lots of people just come anyways,” she said, joking that she had added extra tables and benches at every event to accommodate people who just show up. “They won’t take no for an answer. Finally, I just said, ‘All right, come on in. It’s no use kicking you out.'” [There is no doubt that the two knuckleheads known as the “party crashers” were allowed in and waved past secret security agents by someone with enough power in the White House to be able to pull this off. Perhaps that’s why Obama won’t let this woman perjure herself errrr, testify before Congress. I’m sure the agents who are going to lose their jobs over this stunt are fit to be tied…ed]

The Black Caucus War Against Obama

A civil war is breaking out within the left of the Democratic Party pitting the Congressional Black Caucus against the first African-American president. The battle began when California Rep. Maxine Waters complained publicly about the administration’s failure to do more to help minority-owned businesses in the current recession. (Translation: In the new stimulus of “jobs” bill making its way through Congress, they want a larger take.) (SNIP) The latest shot in the battle was fired by Homeland Security Chairman Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., a card carrying regular of the Black Caucus. Faced with the need to investigate the gate-crashing at the White House during the recent state dinner for India, he chose to embarrass the administration by subpoenaing White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers rather than quietly negotiating for her appearance. [Personally I’m getting beyond weary of this Black Caucus/Hispanic Caucus crap. Either we are all AMERICANS or let’s just split the country up into sections and let each race fend for themselves. I wonder what the Caucasian Caucus would say about that?…ed]

Giving tourists a look at gang culture

A group of civic activists, united by faith and a belief that the poor economy in the interior of Los Angeles is a social injustice, is preparing to offer bus tours of some of the grittiest pockets of the city, including decayed public housing, sites of deadly shootouts and streets ravaged by racial unrest. After a VIP preview last weekend, L.A. Gang Tours expects to open to the public in January, giving tourists a look at the cradle of the nation’s gang culture — the birthplace of many of the city’s gangs, including Crips and Bloods, Florencia 13 and 18th Street. “This is ground zero for a lot of the bad in this city. It could be ground zero for a lot of the good too,” said Alfred Lomas, a former Florencia member who has become a leading gang intervention worker in South Los Angeles and is spearheading the tours. “This is true community empowerment.” [Who in the hell would pay to take a tour of gangland Los Angeles? I have an idea, perhaps someone should take the people who live in and have deliberately destroyed these hellhole neighborhoods on a bus tour of a bunch of NICE neighborhoods and show them what life could be if they stayed in school and got an education, stopped selling/doing drugs, stopped shooting each other for fun, got off public assistance and tried taking some responsibility for their lives…ed]

Rep. Thompson faces ethics probe over credit card measure, industry donations

Concerns that the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee may have used a credit card bill to woo donations from credit card companies has prompted the chamber’s ethics panel to open an investigation. The Washington Post first reported on Friday that staffers to Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) suspected foul play as early as this summer, after the committee unexpectedly took up a tough bill that would have implemented new fees to protect against credit card identity theft. According to the Post, Thompson collected about $15,000 in donations from the industry shortly after those hearings began, but no bill was ever introduced. [Nothing to see here. At Plano book signing, Sarah Palin shows she’s a force to be reckoned with

Sarah Palin, political rock star and self-proclaimed “rogue” of the Grand Old Party, swept into town on Friday. She was a big hit among the hundreds of faithful fans who stood outside for hours in near-freezing temperatures, waiting for autographed copies of her new memoir, Going Rogue: An American Life. “I love Sarah Palin,” said Margaret J. Hill, an 88-year-old former pastor from Lucas. “I watch her all the time. I think she’s so special.” Palin struck a familiar pose, too, looking very much like the folksy yet fashionable presidential candidate her most avid fans hope to see in 2012. (SNIP) Seriously, given how tight security was around Palin – at a warm-and-fuzzy book signing, no less – one could easily mistake the ex-Alaska governor and former vice presidential candidate for a sitting head of state. [Another day another huge crowd waiting in line to get their books signed by Sarah Palin. Palin gets a hero’s welcome at Fort Hood

Rebecca Dalberg’s excitement over Sarah Palin’s book signing Friday night was so intense, she wanted to spend the night in a parking lot to assure a front-row seat. Her retired military husband, Sonny Dalberg, quashed that idea because the Copperas Cove couple live less than five minutes away from the sprawling Army post where the former Alaska governor signed about 1,000 copies of her new book, Going Rogue. The Dalbergs, who arrived 11 hours before the event, were among the first people to navigate a maze of meandering lines at the post exchange before reaching last year’s GOP vice presidential candidate. The crowd greeted her entry with a boisterous “Sar-ah, Sar-ah” chant. “She’s human. She listens to people. She doesn’t think that she’s better than anyone,” Rebecca Dalberg said. “She’s all-American. That’s Mom, apple pie and John Wayne.” [Her son happens to be serving on the ground in Iraq right now…ed]

Poll Finds Continuing Signs of Trouble for Reid Re-Election Bid

Despite a TV ad campaign launched in October, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid continues to be seen unfavorably by Nevada voters and runs behind the two top potential Republican challengers in a general election match-up, according to a Mason-Dixon poll conducted Nov. 30 – Dec. 2 for the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Former University of Nevada basketball star Danny Tarkanian, now a real estate businessman, leads Reid 48 percent to 42 percent with 10 percent undecided. Tarkanian polls higher among fellow Republicans than Reid does among Democrats, and leads Reid among independents by 50 percent to 37 percent with 13 percent undecided. Sue Lowden, a former state GOP chairwoman who entered politics after a career as as television reporter and anchorwoman, leads Reid 51 percent to 41 percent with 8 percent undecided. She, too, does better among her fellow Republicans than Reid does among Democrats, and like Tarkanian, leads Reid among independents by 53 percent to 36 percent with 11 percent undecided. [Good news? Reid certainly looks to be toast and no longer a member of the US Senate in a year. Bad news? Since the Democrats will likely retain control of the Senate, two vociferous anti Second Amendment yeahoos, Shithead Chuck Schumer or Dickhead Dick Durbin would likely replace him as the majority leader…ed]

A Tale of Two Presidents: How Media Treated Bush’s Unemployment #’s Compared to Obama’s

It never ceases to amaze me how differently the Old Media treats Republican presidents compared to how they treat Democrat Presidents during times of unemployment reporting. Today, in the vaunted era of Obama, the unemployment numbers for November 2009 have come out and it shows some of the highest unemployment numbers since the Great Depression. Despite that the Old Media seems to be playing this as a sign of optimism. Such optimism was decidedly not in the cards when that same Old Media was reporting rates during Bush’s years, however. Let’s take two reports from The New York Times for example. One from September 7, 2002 in Bush’s first term and one from December 4, 2009, early in the Obama presidency. In 2002, The New York Times reported Bush’s 5.7 percent unemployment rate, noting that it was a drop from 5.9 percent, with the following headline: Unemployment Fell in August, But Drop Is Called Insignificant. [The lamestream media touts the decline from 10.2 % to 10 % unemployment as great news under Obama’s administration. 5.5% unemployment is generally accepted as “full employment” in this country and under the Bush administration this figure averaged 4.7% from 2001-2007 until spiking at just over 7% right around the time Obama won the election. How about some props there state run media? Keep in mind DEMOCRATS were the majority in both houses of Congress the last two years of the George W. Bush presidency and continue to trash our economy to this day…ed]

Quarter of borrowers in anti-foreclosure plan are behind

About 25 percent of borrowers helped under the administration’s massive foreclosure prevention plan have already fallen behind on their new mortgage payments, according to government data that raise new questions about the program’s effectiveness. The delinquency figures reflect the latest troubles of the program, known as Making Home Affordable. Earlier this week, Treasury officials announced a campaign to put new pressure on lenders to do more to move struggling homeowners into loans with easier terms. So far, more than 650,000 borrowers have been enrolled into the initial, or “trial,” phase of the program and have seen their payments lowered by an average of $640 a month, or 40 percent. But a recent survey of large mortgage servicers published by the Treasury Department found that that more than 25 percent of borrowers in the program were not current on their trial payments. (SNIP) It may be that some modifications were given to borrowers who had no realistic expectation of keeping their home, said Mark A. Calabria, director of financial regulation studies at the Cato Institute. A few borrowers may be using the program to delay foreclosure and to find another way to save their home or just live for free, he said. [Somehow this doesn’t surprise me in the least. Millions of homebuyers bought more house than they could ever afford to begin with and were in over their heads from the get. Giving them a freebie, which would include taxpayer funds taken from those who purchased homes responsibly, isn’t going to change irresponsible behavior. Naturally Obama and his cronies in Congress will greatly expand this program soon…ed]

Missouri Soldier, Family Lose Everything in House Fire

A metro soldier and his family lost everything after a fire gutted their home, just three weeks before Christmas. The fire destroyed the Kidder, Missouri home on Tuesday night. Fortunately, neither Staff Sgt. Charlie Sloan nor his family was home at the time of the fire. Sloan was spending the night at the National Guard Armory in Kansas City while his wife and three kids decided to spend that night with their grandparents. “There’s just nothing there, it’s just hollow,” said Sloan’s wife, Penny. “That’s kind of how I feel is just hollow.” Charlie Sloan says that he still has not come back to see the damage for himself. “I just want to wait, till I’m sure I’m by myself and no one sees me break down, if I do,” said Charlie Sloan, who retired from active duty in the mid-1990’s but re-enlisted in the Missouri National Guard following 9/11. (snip) To help the Sloan family, contact Cherie Congour, Family Readiness Group Leave Coordinator for 1-138th Infantry, at (816) 868-2362, or via email at congour@att.net. [Sad news indeed. Bandit who snapped self-portrait surrenders

Police today announced the arrest of Kadeem Cook, 18, of the 200 block of West Champlost Street in Olney. He’s the man who police said robbed a woman at gunpoint Wednesday night while she was walking along the 1000 block of Nedro Avenue, taking her purse and cell phone. Police said the robber then used the woman’s cell phone to take photos of himself holding the gun used in the robbery.
