Stickers Leave Firefighter In Hot Water

Firefighter Mike Di’Giacomo said his SUV is banned from in the firehouse because the bumper stickers he has on it, displays his political views. Di’Giacomo said he has never run into a problem like this in the 10 years he has been with the department. The bumper stickers read:

Somewhere in Kenya, a village is missing its idiot

I’ll keep my guns, freedom and money. You keep the change

China And Obamao aka Maobama

A Polish news service reports that Obama has created a furor in China. The reason? The Chinese people are applauding the similarity between Mao Tse-Tung and US President Obama. During the Obama election campaign, he achieved celebrity status. Now, he is admired because his election is a victory for leftist ideology. The Chinese internet has been flooded with pages and pictures praising Obama and comparing him to Mao Tse-Tung. Obama’s Man-Caused Disaster Chickens Come Home to Roost

In her first testimony before Congress back in March of this year, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano laid the groundwork for the Obama administration’s new “politically correct” Homeland Security doctrine. Without ever mentioning “terrorist” or “terrorism” during her testimony, Secretary Napolitano put forth the politically correct term for those two words: “man-caused disaster.” Defining the term as “nuance” to the German news site Spiegel Online, Secretary Napolitano further stated, “…it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur.” The “T”-word has been off limits by the Obama administration ever since. More White House Economic Baloney

Of the many thoughts I had watching President Barack Obama’s umpteenth speech on the economy Thursday morning, the most troubling was his refusal to accept responsibility for his disastrous policies. With unemployment having soared to 10.2 percent, wouldn’t it have been reasonable to expect that any Obama speech on the economy would at least acknowledge that his “stimulus” plan didn’t come close to achieving the results he promised, starting with his claim that unemployment would peak at 8 percent? [Obama is a narcissistic liar. There, it’s been said…ed]

Another Afghan war: Media leaks spark administration fight

The Obama administration’s internal debate over Afghan policy has escalated into a battle of media leaks that’s straining relations between officials who’re seeking a major troop increase and those who want a more limited approach and a greater focus on domestic priorities. The feud also has poisoned ties between the top U.S. military commander in Afghanistan and the U.S. ambassador in Kabul, and left the administration struggling for leverage to press Afghan President Hamid Karzai to appoint untainted officials to his new government, attack corruption and share power with the parliament and provincial officials. On vacation with Mr. Dithers

Every modern president takes refuge abroad when the going gets rough at home. (Before the jet airplane life was simpler and presidents could get respite with a train trip to Cleveland or Buffalo.) So President Obama is off to Asia, where never will necessarily be heard an encouraging word, but he won’t have to listen to criticism in the Queen’s English. His approval ratings are continuing to sink — down now to 46 percent, measured by reliable Rasmussen Reports. Nancy Pelosi’s euphoria over her razor-thin passage of the fanciful House version of Obamacare is fading in the wake of rising Senate opposition to the thousand pages of Mzz Pelosi’s poisoned mush. The president continues to dither over what, if anything, to do about the war in Afghanistan, which he once called “the necessary war.” Soon he won’t be “Mr. President” so much as “Mr. Dithers.” [Damn, Obama is making ANOTHER overseas trip on our dime while the nation is falling apart at the seams? After spending binge, White House says it will focus on deficits

President Barack Obama plans to announce in next year’s State of the Union address that he wants to focus extensively on cutting the federal deficit in 2010 – and will downplay other new domestic spending beyond jobs programs, according to top aides involved in the planning. The president’s plan, which the officials said was under discussion before this month’s Democratic election setbacks, represents both a practical and a political calculation by this White House. On the practical side, Obama has spent more money on new programs in nine months than Bill Clinton did in eight years, pushing the annual deficit to $1.4 trillion. This leaves little room for big spending initiatives. [Oh BS! He is just trying to provide some cover for Democrats up for reelection next year. It never ceases to amaze me how this guy really thinks the American people are so stupid they won’t remember the damage he and his cohorts in Congress have done to this country in such a short period of time. Election day 2010 can’t get here quick enough. Can you say New Jersey/Virginia redux?…ed]

The EPA’s Paranoid Style. Employee arguments against cap-and-trade legislation aren’t welcome.

Give the Environmental Protection Agency credit: At least it practices equal opportunity censorship of its employees. Dr. Alan Carlin, a 37-year agency veteran, was muzzled earlier this spring. Dr. Carlin offered a report poking holes in the science underlying the theory of manmade global warming. His superior, Al McGartland, complained the paper did “not help the legal or policy case” for Team Obama’s decision to regulate carbon, told him to “move on to other issues,” and forbade him from discussing it outside the office. Now come Laurie Williams and Allan Zabel, married, and each with more than 20 years tenure at the EPA. They too are dismayed by Democrats’ approach to climate, though for different reasons. Electric cars increase CO2 emissions

A British study found that electric cars can increase carbon dioxide emissions. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Carbon dioxide is harmless to the environment. In fact, it is essential to life as it is necessary in photosynthesis. Electric cars increase the demand for electricity. In the United States, half the electricity comes from coal. Prof busted in Columbia gal ‘punch’

A prominent Columbia architecture professor punched a female university employee in the face at a Harlem bar during a heated argument about race relations, cops said yesterday. Police busted Lionel McIntyre, 59, for assault yesterday after his bruised victim, Camille Davis, filed charges. McIntyre and Davis, who works as a production manager in the school’s theater department, are both regulars at Toast, a popular university bar on Broadway and 125th Street, sources said. The professor, who is black, had been engaged in a fiery discussion about “white privilege” with Davis, who is white, and another male regular, who is also white, Friday night at 10:30 when fists started flying, patrons said. Democrat’s Winning Margin in Upstate New York House Race in Doubt

Though Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman conceded and Democrat Bill Owens was sworn into Congress last week, the routine recanvassing of votes shows Owens’ lead has narrowed to 3,026 votes, with about 5,800 absentee ballots received so far that have yet to be counted. The special election last week for the 23rd Congressional District seat in New York may not be over after all. (SNIP) The county Boards of Election are still recanvassing votes and it could be the end of November before a final count is certified. If the count overturns the election, Owens could be removed from office. [If the state has not certified the election how the hell did this Owens guy get sworn in just in time to vote for PelosiObamaCare? Apple’s Rejection of iPhone App Showing Political Caricatures Rankles Creator

A conservative filmmaker in Hollywood thought he had developed a worthwhile iPhone app: a telephone directory listing every U.S. senator and congressman, with caricatures of the legislators drawn by an artist. But Apple apparently didn’t see the value, and the computer behemoth said a cartoon drawing of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was part of the reason why. (SNIP) Griggs noted that Apple has approved apps that simulate the sound of human flatulence, that let users make models out of human feces, and that create a bloody knife when the iPhone is shaken. There have also been controversial images of women’s breasts, and a notorious app that let the user quiet a crying baby by shaking it into silence, which was subsequently removed. Seeming Overnight Surge in H1N1’s Death Toll

Using new methodology, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has revised its estimate of the total number of deaths caused by swine flu. The new figures will result in a tripling of the number deaths from H1N1overnight. While the official estimates have not yet been released, it appears that the tally of deaths from the novel form of influenza will rise to around 4,000, up from 1,200, as first reported Wednesday by The New York Times. NEA Website Promotes Communist Guide Books for the Violent Overthrow of the U.S. Government

The NEA’s (National Education Association’s, a.k.a. Nefarious Elitist Asses’) recommended reading list includes two books by Brother O mentor and communist community organizer Saul Alinsky that advocate the violent overthrow of the U.S. government. The Democrat-controlled teachers’ union praises Alinsky’s Reveille for Radicals and Rules for Radicals as “an inspiration to anyone contemplating action in their community! And to every organizer!” (SNIP) The union of Nefarious Elitist Asses uses taxpayer dollars to praise radicalism, promote communism, and implant progressive, humanist values in public education curriculums. Muslims decry move to seize Houston mosque

The U.S. government on Thursday moved to seize more than $500 million in assets from a New York-based foundation accused of being a front for the Iranian government, including a building that houses the Islamic Education Center of Houston. The news provoked confusion and anger among Houston’s Shia Muslims, many of whom worship at the center’s mosque or send their children to an Islamic school that occupies the same large white building at 2313 S. Voss. Faheem Kazimi, chairman of the board of directors, said IEC leases its building from the Alavi Foundation but no other connection exists. “The Islamic Education Center is a nonprofit, independent organization, not affiliated with any other organization,” Kazimi said. 9/11 Suspect to Face Trial in New York, Official Says

Self-proclaimed Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other Guantanamo Bay detainees will be sent to New York to face trial in a civilian federal court, an Obama administration official said Friday. Army: Fort Hood suspect charged with murder

The Army psychiatrist accused in the Fort Hood shootings was charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder in the military’s legal system, making him eligible for the death penalty if convicted, officials said Thursday. Meanwhile, President Barack Obama ordered a review of all intelligence related to Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, and whether the information was properly shared and acted upon within government agencies. (SNIP) Officials told The Associated Press before the news conference that it had not been decided whether to charge Hasan with a 14th count of murder related to the death of the unborn child of a pregnant shooting victim. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak about the case publicly. [Get the trial over with then just hang this bastard and be done with it…ed]

Quote of the day.

History shows that the greater threat to prosperity is not too little government involvement, but too much.

-George W. Bush, giving a little nut kick to his successor during a speech yesterday. Too bad W. wasn’t a little more concerned about the size of government when he was prez.
