Poll: Obama Health Care Marks Hit New Low

President Obama’s approval rating on handling health care is at an all-time low, according to a new CBS News poll, something that is helping to drag down his overall approval rating. Just 36 percent of Americans approve of Mr. Obama’s handling of health care, according to the poll, conducted from Jan. 6 – 10. Fifty-four percent disapprove. [Keep in mind this isn’t Rasmussen’s company, which the Democrats claim is nothing more than a GOP operative, dropping this turd. This is Obama loving CBS doing the polling but the socialist in chief wouldn’t care anyway as he is adamant about pushing forth with his agenda against the American people…ed]

IBD Poll: Obama’s Independent Woes Intensify

January’s IBD/TIPP Presidential Leadership Index fell 3.6% to 50.8 — barely holding above the neutral 50 level and 20 points below Obama’s level when he took office. High unemployment, an unpopular health care plan and security fears are all taking their toll. Independents led with a 6.5% decline — 21% since September — to 44.3, a new low for Obama. The bad news for Obama and other Democratic politicians gets worse: The number of independents is growing. [IBD/TIPP polling has been proven to be extremely accurate over the years…ed]

Obama in no rush for State of Union

The State of the Union address may be going the way of the NFL’s Super Bowl, another January tradition that has become a February fixture. No date has been set for the president’s annual address to Congress, but with Democrats hoping for a health care bill in hand first, the affair could be pushed until the first week in February or later — marking the latest date for a standard address in modern history. “Soon” was the short answer that White House press secretary Robert Gibbs gave reporters last week, though he helpfully ruled out Feb. 2, the Tuesday that ABC is supposed to air the final season premiere of its show “Lost.” [What’s for him to brag about? His administration’s laughable “transparency?” Blatant NON-partisanship from the Congressional Democrats? A very UNpopular with the American people “healthcare plan?” The 10% + unemployment rate? Nearly 4 million jobs gone since he took office? How secure our airports are? Iran flipping him the middle finger over their nuclear bomb ambitions? War still raging in Afghanistan? Gitmo still housing terrorists? Gas prices reaching $3 a gallon again? Is his real fear some Democrats will stand up and yell, “YOU LIE!” ?…ed]

Irate Labor Leaders Press Obama on Proposed Health Care ‘Cadillac’ Tax

President Obama told labor leaders in a tense two-hour closed door tussle over whether to tax health care benefits that he backed the tax, which labor leaders vehemently oppose, but also supports efforts “to protect working men and women.” Their problem? Labor leaders say you can’t have it both ways. Some now openly accuse Obama of doing that and violating one of his most important early promises in the health care debate: that if you like the coverage you have, you will be able to keep it. Obama did not attend all of the meeting held in the Roosevelt Room, but, according to an official who spoke on the condition of anonymity “reiterated his support for the excise tax but also reiterated his commitment to protect working men and women.” [Obama lied, union thug bosses cried. The light skinned black man with no discernible Negro dialect has deliberately shucked and jived damn near every constituency in this country and many are now starting to realize they were bent over and driven home during the presidential campaign without the benefit of any KY…ed]

White House changes how stimulus jobs are counted

Now we’ll never know just how many jobs were funded by the $787 billion stimulus program. Until a policy change last month, Obama administration officials had said they would keep a running count of the number of jobs created or saved by the massive American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Going forward, the White House will only tally jobs one quarter at a time and not attempt to determine a total. On top of that, the administration has directed Recovery Act recipients to report all jobs funded with stimulus money – regardless of whether they were new jobs or existing ones. [One more thing to add to the Obama administration’s growing list of massive failures. When will the lamestream media finally have enough of these crooks and start doing their job of informing the American people about what the hell is going on in Washington?…ed]

Obama Must Know His Spending Yields Bankruptcy, Not Growth

Could we all agree that we are doomed as a nation if President Barack Obama continues his deficit spending at unprecedented levels? Can you think of any reason, then, to justify this spending? Oh, our president says it’s to jump-start the economy? Sorry, that dog won’t hunt. So what’s his real motive? Obama has been saying from the beginning that his stimulus plan was for the purpose of spurring economic growth — though when we did have economic growth during the George W. Bush administration, the likes of which Democrats can only fantasize about during Obama’s term, they trashed it as a “jobless recovery.” [The answer is rather simple. The Democrats have an end game, either you will be an employee of the government, or you will be a dependent of the government. And of course, both these classes will be lorded over by an elitist ruling class. Just like every socialist country on the planet. Believe me when I say Obama’s methods to enact “the plan” are NOT being carried out in ignorance nor stupidity…ed]

Terror threat to city water

The main disinfectant in the drinking water of nearly 1 million D.C. and Northern Virginia residents is being switched by the Army Corps of Engineers to thwart the threat of terrorists releasing deadly chlorine gas. The switch will be from chlorine gas to a liquid form of chlorine called sodium hypochlorite. Both are equally effective, according to the Washington Aqueduct, an arm of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. But the liquid, “is considered much safer to transport, store and use than gaseous chlorine,” said an official. N.C. Port Shut Down After Highly Explosive Containers Punctured

Officials shut down a North Carolina port and urged people to leave the area Tuesday after nine containers with highly explosive materials were punctured. Morehead City Police Chief Wes Lail told WTVD that the chemical involved is pentaerythritol tetranitrate, a powerful explosive. Authorities did not immediately say how big the containers were or how they were damaged. Police told people near the port to stay away from windows and doors. Officers were sent downtown to knock on doors and relay alert and evacuation recommendations. [NINE freakin containers full of PETN, the same explosive the Fruit of the Boom bomber had sewn into his underwear Christmas Day, get “punctured?” Hmmmmm….ed]

Reid’s racial rhetoric no slip of the tongue

Reason number 105,001 Nevada voters need to replace Senator Harry Reid: He still thinks it’s1950 and light-skinned Negroes can pass as long as they check their ghetto dialect at the door. The aging statesman’s racially charged remarks recently revealed in the new book “Game Change,” by journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, may have consumed the cable talk show circuit but whether you agree or disagree that Reid’s remarks are racist is almost irrelevant. What they reveal, is. At the least, the racially insensitive comments are not only inherently dangerous coming from a Senate majority leader in our 21st century society, but further highlight a glaringly blatant double standard that exposes a strong undertone of archaic thinking. [Those who should be most “offended” by Reid’s comments will give him a slide so long as the checks keep rolling in the first of the month. That said, Reid would have been run out of town on a rail had he made the same “offensive” remarks about muslims…ed]

Eleanor Holmes Norton defends Harry Reid, warns Republicans

D.C. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton is warning Republicans against trying to make hay out of Harry Reid’s comments about Barack Obama’s skin color and lack of a “Negro dialect.” The nonvoting member of Congress said Reid’s opponents “will not find a welcome mat in the black community” if they try to seize on his remarks. Norton, a black woman who represents one of the most heavily African-American cities in the country, said Reid will enjoy support from the black community because he has “earned it with long support of civil rights and many other issues that matter most to African-Americans.” [Since when does this absolute nobody speak for ALL black people in the country? Gimme some old fashioned Jesse Jackson race baitin’ rhetoric would ya!…ed]

America’s new surgeon general says jibes that she is overweight were ‘hurtful’

America’s new top doctor has said that she found jibes that she was overweight ‘very hurtful.’ Critics claimed Dr Regina Benjamin’s appointment as U.S. Surgeon General was sending the wrong message in a country where 34 per cent of Americans aged 20 and over are obese. Dr Benjamin, who was sworn in today, admitted she is battling the scales. [Like many in the Obama administration she got the job based solely on her skin color. It seems monumentally stupid to install an overweight person in a position that calls for them to guide Americans on health issues, like obesity…ed]

Brown’s Million

What a day for Scott Brown, the Massachusetts Republican vying for Teddy Kennedy’s former U.S. Senate seat. In recent days, polls have shown Brown steadily closing the gap in what’s become a surprisingly close race against Democrat Martha Coakley. To build on his momentum, Brown went to the web today to raise more cash for his surging campaign. Brown hoped to raise half-a-million dollars in a day, and boy, did his supporters come out in droves. As of 11:40 p.m., Brown has raised over $1,117,000 dollars via his “Red Invades Blue” campaign. Many Republicans have pitched in: To help Brown out, Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty both sent out fundraising appeals on his behalf. [It isn’t “Teddy Kennedy’s former Senate seat it’s Massachusetts’ Senate seat but wow check out the surge of Scott Brown up in this bluer than blue state. It’s still an uphill battle but a million bucks in one day shows that despite the lack of coverage of the race by the lamestream media word IS getting out!…ed]

Unhappy New Year .  .  . for Democrats

The good news for Republicans in 2010 is they’re ahead in 6 races for Senate seats now held by Democrats and lead or are tied in 6 open seats where Republicans are retiring. In the House, Republicans figure to win a minimum of 20 seats, as things now stand. They’re a good bet to have a majority of the nation’s governors after the midterm elections in November. The bad news? There is no bad news. [Trying to govern a center-right country by yanking it to the hard left has come home to roost for the Democrats indeed…ed]

Alleged White House party crasher photographed with Pelosi, Kerry, Conyers

In what appears to be another setback for the White House security team, new photos reveal that an alleged party crasher posed for pictures with many powerful lawmakers at President Barack Obama’s Nov. 24, 2009 state dinner. The man alleged to be the third White House gate crasher, Carlos Allen, also posed for plenty of grip-and-grin shots, which were posted on Facebook late Monday by stylist Erwin Gomez. Yemeni officials admit they are losing the battle against al-Qaeda

Yemeni officials have admitted they are losing the battle against al-Qaeda and the terror group is extending its reach into remote regions where state control has all but disappeared. Regional politicians have presented a much bleaker prognosis than the authorities in the capital Sana’a, who have repeatedly sought to play down the threat posed by extremists in the wake of the Detroit terror attack. They say al-Qaeda has forged its strongest relationship with local tribes in the sparsely populated mountains and desert of the south, where long simmering resentment of the government has given way to near-rebellion. Audiences experience ‘Avatar’ blues

James Cameron’s completely immersive spectacle “Avatar” may have been a little too real for some fans who say they have experienced depression and suicidal thoughts after seeing the film because they long to enjoy the beauty of the alien world Pandora. On the fan forum site “Avatar Forums,” a topic thread entitled “Ways to cope with the depression of the dream of Pandora being intangible,” has received more than 1,000 posts from people experiencing depression and fans trying to help them cope. Chicago Alderman Declares War On ‘Avatar’

t’s a titanic battle, and it’s in the 3-D of reality: A Chicago alderman versus “Avatar.” Eleventh Ward Ald. James Balcer believes the new blockbuster movie is anti-military and anti-American. Balcer is a decorated Marine veteran of the Vietnam war, and now he’s going into battle against the film that may turn out to be the biggest moneymaker of all time. He hates the film’s message, and he’s not alone. In the movie, an army of mercenaries, led by a villainous Marine, invades the idyllic planet of Pandora and goes after the peaceful blue creatures who live there over deposits of a precious mineral. Balcer says the film makes Marines “look like lunatics.” In reality, he said, “We are a good, generous country that helps people.” [This flick is another example of the leftists in Hollywood making millions off the denigration of our military and our country. 104-Year-Old Famed Strongman Dies After Being Hit by Car

A famed strongman who once lifted 3,200 pounds at Coney Island during its heyday and was still bending quarters with his fingers at age 104 died Monday after he was hit by a minivan. Joe Rollino was struck as he crossed a major street in Brooklyn, and suffered a broken pelvis, head trauma and broken ribs. He died a few hours later at an area hospital. A Japanese woman who drove home with the body of an 80-year-old pedestrian lodged in her windscreen has been arrested on charges of causing a deadly traffic accident and fleeing the scene, police said. Quote of the day.

“Let me be exactly clear about what health care reform means to you. First of all, if you’ve got health insurance, you like your doctors, you like your plan, you can keep your doctor, you can keep your plan. Nobody is talking about taking that away from you.”

-Barack Hussein Obama July 2009.
