45% Of Doctors Would Consider Quitting If Congress Passes Health Care Overhaul

Two of every three practicing physicians oppose the medical overhaul plan under consideration in Washington, and hundreds of thousands would think about shutting down their practices or retiring early if it were adopted, a new IBD/TIPP Poll has found. The poll contradicts the claims of not only the White House, but also doctors’ own lobby — the powerful American Medical Association — both of which suggest the medical profession is behind the proposed overhaul. It also calls into question whether an overhaul is even doable; 72% of the doctors polled disagree with the administration’s claim that the government can cover 47 million more people with better-quality care at lower cost. [IBD/TIPP polls are usually right on the money. Ain’t it comforting to know almost half the doctors will bail out of the profession if this Obamacare mess flies? Maybe all the fired ACORN workers will be recruited to fill their positions…ed]

Waters: Probe ‘birthers and the teabaggers’ at rallies for racist views

The media should investigate the racial views of conservative activists like the ones who descended on Washington last weekend, one liberal congresswoman said Wednesday. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) said that it’s not enough for African-Americans to levy allegations of racism against the right-leaning protesters, and that the media must look into their views. “I want those people talked to; I want them interviewed,” Waters told the liberal Bill Press Radio show in a podcast. “I want journalists to be all over those rallies and the marches with the birthers and the teabaggers.” [This race baiting hairball skank seems to forget we have a Constitution containing a First Amendment that FORBIDS the government from preventing the people from holding their elected representatives accountable…ed]

Jon Stewart slams media for missing ACORN story: ‘Where the hell were you!?’

Last night, Jon Stewart featured video clips of ACORN employees advising undercover journalists posing as a pimp and a prostitute how to hide the nature of their business in their tax forms. The video clips debuted on biggovernment.com and were featured by FOX News commentator Glenn Beck. Since then the clips have circulated widely on conservative blogs and news sites and sparked a vote in the Senate to de-fund the organization. “The bad news is that ACORN appears to be a criminal organization that aids and abets criminals and get millions of dollars in taxpayer money!” Stewart said, after highlighting the clips on his show. Iraqi ‘shoe-thrower’ shot dead by US forces

An Iraqi man who witnesses said shouted abuse before throwing a shoe at a US army vehicle was shot dead on Wednesday in what the American military said was a suspected grenade attack. Residents told an AFP reporter in Fallujah that Ahmed Latif, 32, whom they said was mentally disturbed, insulted the soldiers as they patrolled in the centre of the city, and then hurled a shoe at them. The US military told AFP that a convoy in Fallujah had been attacked with a suspected grenade. [Hard to tell what’s a shoe and what’s a grenade in that environment. Sucks to be the guy full of .223 holes over a damn thrown shoe…ed]

Job-killing policies could doom Democrat hopes

“The level of unemployment is unacceptably high. And will, by all forecasts, remain unacceptably high for a number of years.” Who do you suppose said that? A Republican political operative? A Fox News political analyst? One of those Tea Partiers who assembled in many thousands in Washington on Sept. 12? No, it was Lawrence Summers, the director of President Obama’s National Economic Council and, by common consent, one of the world’s leading economists. Summers made this gloomy forecast in the course of arguing that our economy is headed to “sustained recovery.” And though it sounds like self-protective political rhetoric, it is also in line with the thinking of Democratic economists who bemoaned a “jobless recovery” during the first Bush term. [The media would be shredding a Republican administration over this economy and the unemployment rate but the Democrats get a free ride because their leader is a black man…ed]

Opposition to Health Care Reform Reaches New High at 55%

One week after President Obama’s speech to Congress, opposition to his health care reform plan has reached a new high of 55%. The latest Rasmussen Reports daily tracking poll shows that just 42% now support the plan, matching the low first reached in August. A week ago, 44% supported the proposal and 53% were opposed. Following the speech last Wednesday night intended to relaunch the health care initiative, support for the president’s effort bounced as high as 51% (see day-by-day numbers). But the new numbers suggest that support for health care reform is now about the same as it was in August. [Support for this Obamacare crap continues to nosedive among the American people…ed]

No Joke

James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles, two guerilla documentarians, have accomplished what neither the Republican party’s sense of outrage nor the Democratic party’s sense of decency could: They have inspired the federal government to begin cutting its ties with ACORN, the shady “community activist” organization that helped bring Barack Obama to power. The set-up was both risible and shocking. Mr. O’Keefe and Miss Giles, who look for all the world like young Republican country-clubbers dressed for a tasteless costume party, walked into a number of ACORN offices and managed to pass themselves off as a pimp and a prostitute. GOP senators seek end to czars

Controversial green jobs adviser Van Jones has quit his White House job, but GOP senators continue to criticize the proliferation of “czars” in the Obama administration. “The creation of ‘czars,’ particularly within the Executive Office of the President, circumvents the constitutionally established process of ‘advise and consent,’ [and] greatly diminishes the ability of Congress to conduct oversight and hold officials accountable,” six Republican senators wrote in a letter to the White House. The letter — signed by Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine), Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.), Kit Bond (R-Mo.), Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) and Bob Bennett (R-Utah) — requests information about the authority, qualifications and transparency of 18 czars appointed by the Obama administration. Never Reviewed by NYT or WashPost, Mark Levin’s ‘Liberty and Tyranny’ Has Now Sold 1 Million Copies

Without ever having been reviewed by either the New York Times or the Washington Post, Mark Levin’s Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto has now sold one million copies, according to its publisher, Threshold Editions. Levin is a nationally syndicated radio host, president of the Landmark Legal Foundation, and served as chief of staff to Atty. Gen. Ed Meese in the Reagan Justice Department. Liberty and Tyranny has been riding high on non-fiction bestseller lists ever since it was released in late March. It debuted at No. 1 on the New York Times best seller list and has remained in the Top Ten on that list for 24 straight weeks. [Great book. Go buy one…ed]

O.J.’s ex-girlfriend thinks he committed double murder

Sounds like the elevator inside the head of Minnesota’s Christie Prody has finally gotten to the top floor where O.J. Simpson is concerned. In an two-part interview airing today and Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. on the CW, Prody tells “Inside Edition” senior correspondent Jim Moret, she believes Simpson killed his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman. Simpson was acquitted of the 1994 murders. He is currently serving time for armed robbery, after leading a raid in Nevada to reclaim memorabilia he said was stolen from him. Black Tea Party Express Tour Team Member Experienced Racism

I traveled on the Tea Party Express tour bus as a singer/songwriter, entertainer and spokesperson; 16 states, 34 rallies in two weeks. I experienced vicious racial verbal attacks, not from the tea party protesters. The racial hate expressed against me all came from the left, people who support President Obama’s radial socialist agenda. Unfortunately, my deleted email box is littered with numerous messages expressing the following: “You are the dumbest self hating f****** n***** I have ever seen!” These racists are outraged by my opening lines I boldly proclaimed at each rally. “Hello my fellow patriots! I am NOT an African-American! I am Lloyd Marcus, AMERCIAN!” [The real racists have always been the left wingers so this isn’t shocking in the least…ed]

I’m Moving to Fox

It’s time for a change. Next month, I leave ABC News to start a weekly one-hour prime time show with Fox News. When I announced that on my blog, plenty of viewers said they were happy to have me leave. “Goodbye. You suck. You have found a much better home for your garbage reporting and backwards politics.” “Congratulations on the move to the network intellectually suited to your quasi-libertarian corporate-apologist hackery!” Oh well, you can’t please everyone. I don’t expect that my libertarian beliefs will please everyone at Fox, either. [It looks like ABC’s only two viewers are pretty happy Stossel is making the career enhancing move to FOX eh?…ed]

Wilson reprimanded, but still smiling

In an unprecedented but toothless reprimand, the House on Tuesday voted to condemn Rep. Joe Wilson, South Carolina Republican, for exclaiming, “You lie,” during President Obama’s address to Congress in a vote that highlighted how fractured debates have become on Capitol Hill. The 240-179 vote to approve a resolution of disapproval capped a week in which Mr. Wilson refused to apologize publicly for his outburst during the Sept. 9 address, and in which he and a potential Democratic opponent raked in the campaign contributions from partisans on both sides. [Wilson give the botox queen and her fellow jackasses on the left the double barreled middle finger. Word on the street is he just may be in play for the Republican 2012 presidential ticket….ed]

House for Sale Comes With a View: The Obamas

There is a “for sale” sign in the front yard, not that potential buyers would see it. The street is closed to nonresidents by order of the United States Secret Service. The house at 5040 South Greenwood Avenue, next door to the Hyde Park residence of President Obama and his family, hit the market here over the weekend. And in a summer of real estate doldrums, it is causing quite a stir, not simply because it is a gracious, century-old, 17-room house with elaborate stained-glass windows and a charming carriage house in the backyard. [Just think, you buy this house and you can watch the Obama’s throw bar-b-que parties with Bill Ayers, Louis Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright and Tony Rezko when he gets out of federal prison!…ed]

ABC ‘sorry’ for tweeting Barack Obama’s ‘jackass’ comment

ABC News has apologised after a high-profile news anchor reported on Twitter that US President Barack Obama called rapper Kanye West a “jackass” in an off-the-record conversation. The exchange, provoked by West’s conduct at the MTV Video Music Awards when he interrupted an acceptance speech by teen star Taylor Swift, occurred during a break between a series of interviews by Mr Obama at the White House on Monday. The comment, from an off-the-record portion of an interview by US business channel CNBC, was tweeted to one million followers on the micro-blogging site by “Nightline” anchor Terry Moran. The tweet was later deleted. [Gee, I always thought it was the job of the press to report things that happen?…ed]

“The Newlywed Game” Goes Gay

“The Newlywed Game” is bringing on its first gay couple. It’s a celebrity duo for the long-running game show, now on the GSN cable network. George Takei, who played Mr. Sulu on “Star Trek,” will appear with his partner, Brad Altman. They just celebrated their first anniversary after being married in Los Angeles. Takei and Altman have been together for 22 years, so they’re nothing like the giggly young couples who appeared on the first version of the show. [I have no idea why I posted this one. Oh well…ed]

Ohio police: Woman spanked stranger’s toddler son

A woman took a stranger’s toddler son over her knee and spanked him three times inside a Salvation Army store after he said something that annoyed her, police said Wednesday. Gloria Ballard was arrested on an assault charge in the Tuesday incident. In a court appearance Wednesday, she asked for a public defender and a not guilty plea was entered for her. She was also ordered to stay away from 2-year-old Sean Goode and his mother, Donnay Jones. Quote of the day.

You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.

-Abraham Lincoln, obviously well aware something like an Obama administration would some day come ambling along hell bent on destroying this country.
