Obama ‘green jobs’ adviser quits amid controversy

President Barack Obama’s adviser Van Jones has resigned amid controversy over past inflammatory statements, the White House said early Sunday. Jones, an administration official specializing in environmentally friendly “green jobs” with the White House Council on Environmental Quality was linked to efforts suggesting a government role in the 2001 terror attacks and to derogatory comments about Republicans. The resignation comes as Obama is working to regain his footing in the contentious health care debate. [Hey I got no problem with this jerkoff calling Republicans assholes, most of us conservatives have been calling them worse than that for years, the real issue was his belief that the Bush administration was behind the 9/11 attacks on the WTC while he was working as a close adviser to Obama. H/T to WorldNetDaily, Glenn Beck and the conservative bloggers for bringing this clown down. The lamestream media wouldn’t touch this situation with a ten foot pole…ed]

Amid Controversy Over Obama’s Green Jobs Adviser, GOP Renews Criticism of White House Czars

A new video has surfaced showing President Obama’s green jobs adviser suggesting that only white students commit mass school killings like Columbine as Republicans renew criticisms of the large number of so-called “czars” in the White House. Van Jones, the founder of Green for All, which focuses on creating environmentally friendly jobs in poor areas, has come under withering attacks in recent days following revelations that he called Republicans “assholes” and that he once signed a petition supporting the “9/11 truther” movement, which claims that the the Bush administration allowed the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks to happen. [Look, a FEW of these “czars” is understandable, Reagan had something like four of them, but Obama and his 33 unaccountable non vetted and unconfirmed czars is ridiculous. Time to nut up you weak ass Republicans and do something about this!…ed]

Major school systems won’t be open when Obama speaks to kids

Hot Air’s Ed Morrissey – joined by bloggers Baseball Crank and Moe Lane – notes that Los Angeles public schools won’t be in session next Tuesday when President Obama delivers his speech to the nation’s children. Neither will those in the Boston schools. Or the New York City public schools. Or those in Seattle, Buffalo or Eugene (Oregon). It’s the Obamatuerism of the day on this one, but it may be indicative of a new theme concerning the Obama administration’s managerial and strategic political competence. [This is an administration stuffed full of incompetent anti American idiots…ed]

Revealed: Libya paid for medical advice that helped Lockerbie bomber’s release

Medical evidence that helped Megrahi, 57, to be released was paid for by the Libyan government, which encouraged three doctors to say he had only three months to live. The life expectancy of Megrahi was crucial because, under Scottish rules, prisoners can be freed on compassionate grounds only if they are considered to have this amount of time, or less, to live. Megrahi is suffering from terminal prostate cancer. Two of the three doctors commissioned by the Libyans provided the required three-month estimates, while the third also indicated that the prisoner had a short time to live. [We all know this was a freakin’ scam from the get go but the deed is done so now what?…ed]

No.10 turns on Obama and Clinton for criticising decision to release Lockerbie bomber

Downing Street has hit back at Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton for attacking the decision to release the Lockerbie bomber. President Obama and the US Secretary of State fuelled a fierce American backlash against Britain, claiming Abdelbaset Al Megrahi should have been forced to serve out his jail sentence in Scotland – but a senior Whitehall aide said their reaction was ‘disingenuous’. British officials claim Mr Obama and Mrs Clinton were kept informed at all stages of discussions concerning Megrahi’s return. [Yeah, Obama and Clinton’s phony “outrage” over the release of this mass murderer sure fooled most of us Americans huh?…ed]

Democrats jittery as unpopular Congress returns

Political survival will top the agenda for many lawmakers when the U.S. Congress returns to work on Tuesday, amid widespread voter discontent over its recent performance. While the debates over healthcare reform, global warming and banking legislation and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will dominate the airwaves, the central issue for many in Congress will be how to keep their seats. Polls show only about one-third of Americans approve of how lawmakers are doing, less than a year after President Barack Obama led Democrats to big gains in Congress. Republicans now have an opportunity to strike back in the 2010 election. [2010 can’t come quick enough. Unfortunately big gains by Republicans will probably have the undesired effect of a second term for Obama…ed]

Swine Flu: Path to Martial Law?

Could a form of martial law be imminent? Obama appears ready to cross the Rubicon, and all he needs is a killer virus.
Let’s connect some dots. Remember President Obama’s Executive Order basing 80,000 active troops at home for the first time in the history of the peacetime military establishment to “help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack….” [There is no question this phony swine flu BS will be used as some sort of crisis scenario by this administration if they feel they can whip up enough panic in this country. This isn’t any tin foil hat stuff folks, I guarantee a game plan is already in place and ready to roll out when the time is “right”…ed]

Education targeted as threat to Islam

AS IRAN’S universities prepare to start classes this month, there is a growing fear that the government will purge political and social science departments of professors and curriculums deemed “un-Islamic”.
The concerns have been stoked by speeches by the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, as well as confessions of political prisoners that suggest that the study of secular topics and ideas has made universities incubators for the political unrest unleashed after the disputed presidential election in June. [Islam is a threat to this planet. There, fixed it for ya article writer…ed]

Liberals ready to strike out at White House over Afghanistan surge

Liberals in Congress, already angry about healthcare reform, are sharpening their swords for a fight with the administration over Afghanistan. They have opened one front with the White House on a public option for healthcare but are ready to open a second front on Afghanistan, even if it damages a president whose success is dependent on a strong record of accomplishment. According to one House Democrat, the calls to end U.S. military intervention in Afghanistan are growing louder and coming from a larger and more diverse crowd. [Still waiting for the moveon/codepink bozos to come out of the woodwork and start protesting Obama’s war policies. Oh wait, the hard leftists will never do that when their guy is running the show…ed]

Taxpayer March expects big draw

Tens of thousands of demonstrators are expected to descend upon the nation’s capital next weekend to voice their concerns about what they call Congress’ “nonstop tax-and-spend agenda” in the first-ever Taxpayer March on D.C. The three-day event will begin Thursday morning at the D.C. Armory in Southeast Washington and is expected to end Saturday with a march from Freedom Plaza down Pennsylvania Avenue to a rally on the U.S. Capitol steps. Participants can attend workshops and lobby their congressmen while attending rallies on health care and the economy. The National Park Service says it has issued permits for more than 2,000 people for the Freedom Plaza gathering. That number is a fraction of the crowd expected to show at the rally. [Predictably the lamestream Obama media will completely ignore this rally or if they do mention it they will deliberately claim far smaller numbers than actually attended…ed]

For the jobless, Labor Day is hardly a holiday

Every day it’s a battle. The nearly 15 million unemployed Americans won’t enjoy Labor Day as a relaxing respite from work. Instead, they’ll once again need to prepare to get up, hit the pavement and keep hunting for a job. As the jobless rate nears 10 percent, even those fortunate enough to be employed fret about keeping their jobs. But for those without them, it’s a daily struggle with emotional and economic distress. “It’s hard to maintain your focus that you’re a valuable member of society when you go three months and nobody really wants to employ you,” says David O’Bryan, 59, of Barre, Vt. [Kinda makes you want to beat the face in of every idiot you know who voted for this Obama fraud doesn’t it?…ed]

A Mugging on Lake Street

I was ambushed on the West Side last year, an attack that on its face made no sense. I’d never seen my assailant before; he’d never seen me; no words were exchanged; nothing was taken. Like many crime victims, I wanted the incident, which changed my life for the worse, to have some meaning. I’m white, he is black, and in time it was hard not to wonder if race had something to do with it. The attack came at about 4:15 on May 9th, a sunny Friday afternoon. I had ridden my bike to the Loop for a meeting, and on my way back I took my usual route—Fulton west to the Garfield Park Conservatory, then over to Lake Street. As I neared the intersection of Lake and Laramie, I noticed a group of perhaps six teenagers on a corner. Pedestrians on Lake Street are low on a cyclist’s list of potential hazards. [LONG read but it’s always fun to hear what a white liberal has to say when they come out on the short painful end of a “multicultural moment.” What’s that they say, a conservative is a liberal who finally got their ass mugged?…ed]

Networks censor health care debate

The major TV networks don’t even let revenue get in the way of their biased coverage in favor of President Obama’s agenda. ABC and NBC in particular seem afraid of a simple 30-second advertisement. Both networks have refused to run an ad proposed for national telecast by the League of American Voters, a nonprofit group with 15,000 members. The supposedly offensive ad makes the simple claim that the proposed government-run health care program would ration medical care. ABC won’t run the ad because it says it is “partisan.” NBC won’t run it because that network says it questions the ad’s facts. So what does the script of this horribly troublesome ad say? [But it’s OK for ABC to broadcast a one hour special from the White House touting this Obamacare Obamination. That isn’t partisan or anything right?…ed]

WAEB radio tower toppled in Whitehall; FBI called in

A 350-foot-tall WAEB radio tower crashed to the ground early Friday in Whitehall Township after its support cables were cut, township police said. Five hours later, two radio towers near Everett, Wash., were knocked to the ground by a bulldozer in what officials feared was an act of eco-terrorism. The FBI said Friday night is looking into the possibility the two crimes are linked. “The FBI is aware of [the Whitehall case] and is going to be looking into it,” said J.J. Klaver, FBI special agent in Philadelphia. “I don’t want to venture a guess as to whether the two things are related. That’s probably premature.” [Oh please, unsure if these incidents are related? Gimme a break. Hey Eric Holder and Janet Napolitano, here’s a gang of domestic terrorists. Maybe you clowns can go after them instead of law abiding citizens…ed]

Drunk off-duty Queens cop blasts hole in pal’s car outside club

An off-duty detective who was “wasted” following a night of boozing in Brooklyn was suspended on Saturday – after his gun accidentally went off and blasted a hole in a car, police sources said. William Powell, a 15-year Queens veteran, had just gotten into the car with friends from the GridLoc Truck Club – a social club of Brooklyn bikers – sometime before 3 a.m., the sources said. That’s when Powell’s gun accidentally discharged, blowing a hole through his pal’s car outside the Sutter Ave. club. “He was wasted drunk,” said a source. “He said he was adjusting his gun and it went off.” [NYPD’s finest getting shit faced while carrying a concealed firearm. What a tool. Defense attorneys will have a field day with every arrest this guy makes in the future if he manages to keep his job…ed]

On Facebook, MySpace? Obama’s got your e-mail

The White House is hiring a contractor to harvest information about Americans from its pages on social networking websites such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr. The National Legal and Policy Center, or NLPC, revealed the White House New Media team is seeking to hire a technology vendor to collect data such as comments, tag lines, e-mail, audio and video from any place where the White House “maintains a presence” – for a period of up to eight years. “The contractor shall provide the necessary services to capture, store, extract to approved formats, and transfer content published by EOP (Executive Office of the President) on publicly-accessible web sites, along with information posted by non-EOP persons on publicly-accessible web sites where the EOP offices under PRA (Presidential Records Act) maintains a presence,” the posting states. [Where is the outrage from the lamestream media and the aclu over this? Yeah, that would be a rhetorical question…ed]

Quote of the day.

I met all these young radical people of color — I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, ‘This is what I need to be a part of.’
