President Barack Obama highlighted the contributions made by Muslims to American culture and the “dynamism and diversity” of the Islamic community. “Islam, as we know, is part of America,” Obama said at a White House dinner celebrating the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. [“Islam is part of America?” Where? What the hell is this closet Muslim talking about? Is Christianity part of Saudi Arabia? Kuwait? Iran? Afghanistan? Iran? Iraq? Libya? International Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that on August 25, police in Pakistan arrested two Christians for eating during the Islamic fasting season of Ramadan in the city of Silanwali. Gull Masih and Ashir Sohail were traveling to Lahore when their bus stopped at the Bismillah Hotel to let off passengers. After the waiter served them tea and a snack, several policemen started to question them as to why they were desecrating Ramadan by eating during the Islamic fasting season. The two Christians told the police that since they are Christians, they are not supposed to fast during Ramadan. [An example of why Obama’s Islam ass kissing really pisses me off…ed]
The Islamic extremists gunned down 6 Christians and injured 7 more in Quetta city of Baluchistan on August 28, 2009, after threats of “Convert to Islam or Die.” The sad incident of killing Christians was target killing when Baluchistan was observing death anniversary of Baluch leader Akbar Bugti and Islamic extremists targeted peaceful Christian. According to PCP, Mushtaq Masih owned a Laboratory named “Maryiam Labs” in front of Civil Hospital Quetta located in busy city centre. On Friday, August 28, 2009, at 9:00 AM, two gunmen on motorcycle opened discriminatory firing at Maryiam Labs killing Mushtaq Masih, Naveed John, Naymat Gill, Nadeem Akhtar and Suleman who were in laboratory while 7 other were seriously injured and hospitalized. A photo of two Democratic legislators playing solitaire has ignited controversy at the state Capitol and in the blogosphere. The Associated Press picture has appeared in any number of venues, and it shows two lawmakers sitting in the back row of the historic Hall of the House in Hartford during the lengthy debate over the two-year, $37 billion state budget. On the left is Rep. Barbara Lambert, a freshman Democrat from Milford who won her first legislative election in November 2008. She replaced longtime Milford Democrat James Amann, who ended his legislative career as the House Speaker and is now running for governor against Republican M. Jodi Rell. My wife Diane seldom gets upset about politics. But President Barack Obama’s recent demonstration of megalomania in insisting on beginning the school year by simultaneously addressing all public school kids in the United States elicited a concise response: “it’s sick.” In addition to her Ph.D. in psychology, Diane holds an M.A. in Education, and both primary and secondary teaching credentials in California. She has raised and educated our three kids, each of whom received some combination of home schooling, parochial education, and public schools. What bothers her (and many courageous teachers across the country) is the crude attempt by the Department of Education and the White House to blur all distinctions between education and cult-of-personality propaganda. A majority of independent voters disapprove of how Barack Obama’s handling his job as president, according to a new national poll. Fifty-three percent of independents questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Tuesday say they disapprove of how Obama’s handling his duties in the White House, with 43 percent in approval. That result marks the first time in a CNN poll that a majority of independents give the president’s performance a thumbs-down. Cindy Sheehan brings Camp Casey to Martha’s Vineyard. Meanwhile, the mainstream media is as apathetic about her new protest as they are about an Afghan body count. As the President’s strategy in Afghanistan appears to be failing worse than his economic policies, and his promise to end American military involvements overseas is withering alongside health care reform, recalling those lofty promises from last year’s campaign is like looking at a marriage proposal from the other side of a Las Vegas hangover. Outside a short article by the AP there is very little coverage of Cindy Sheehan. [Caption that picture of Sheehan for us would ya? “So this is what a used condom feels like huh?”…ed]
Most of the concern about swine flu has focused on preventing humans from spreading it to others. But at state fairs across the country, animal health officials have been taking steps to protect pigs from getting the new H1N1 virus from people. At the Nebraska State Fair, for example, there are signs around the pig pens with big red letters reading, “Help Keep Our Animals Healthy.” The signs also ask that people wash their hands, and if they’re feeling ill, not to pet or touch the pigs. There are also hand sanitizer dispensers around the barn. [Please folks, go easy on the other white meat…ed]
Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Robert F. McDonnell saw his 14-point lead cut in half last month, according to polling figures released Tuesday. The survey, conducted by nonpartisan Raleigh, N.C.-based Public Policy Polling, found Mr. McDonnell now leads his Democratic rival R. Creigh Deeds 49 percent to 42 percent. A poll conducted by the company last month showed Mr. McDonnell leading Mr. Deeds 51 percent to 37 percent. [Too bad the media didn’t point the American public in the direction of Michelle Obama’s college thesis. They would have been able to easily make the determination that this woman despises white people with a passion. Conservatives are resuming their historically dominant position atop the New York Times and Amazon.com bestsellers lists after a short hiatus that coincided, not coincidentally, with George W. Bush’s tenure in the White House. While the mainstream media raved about a new era of leftist intellectual supremacy during the liberal ascendance on the bestsellers lists, the return of conservative books to the tops of those lists seems to be going unnoticed. In a long and agitated outburst, a black Lake County Board member Tuesday accused the panel’s health committee of not supporting a proposed resolution concerning President Obama’s health care reform plan because they’re racist. Toward the end of what previously had been a typically civil meeting, Waukegan Democrat Mary Ross Cunningham attacked her fellow committee members for not backing a model resolution endorsing the administration’s “health care reform principles.” [Is that a pirate hat this loud mouthed racist idiot is wearing in that picture?…ed]
They are the invisible casualties of this war, the 2,194 Americans who have been badly wounded in battle here. More are coming.
Stunned, torn and bleeding, they are extracted from dusty battlefields in wild, shouting chaos, and because they are so quickly rushed into the hands of trauma nurses and surgeons, more of them survive than in past wars. But their wounds are often grievous, even more severe than those inflicted in the Iraq war. It is not uncommon for a casualty to arrive at a combat surgical hospital with two, three or even more immediately life-threatening injuries. Patients in Health Service hospitals are far more likely to go hungry than criminals in jail, scientists warned yesterday. They say frail and elderly patients do not get the help they need with meals, and nobody checks whether they get enough to eat. Despite years of Government promises to tackle poor hospital nutrition, food still arrives cold, and patients often miss out because meal times clash with tests and operations. The House switched its on-hold telephone music back to patriot tunes Tuesday after a three-week experiment with smooth jazz and elevator music was judged to be offensive. Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.) was so outraged that his constituents were subjected to more anodyne jazz selections that he wrote a letter to the office that oversees the music selection asking for the situation to be reversed. “Callers routinely express their delight in listening to a few notes of Americana while briefly waiting for their call to go through,” Upton wrote in a letter to Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Dan Beard on Friday. “We should proudly embrace our nation’s patriotic songs, not callously shun them for elevator music.” [Remember that soon after taking office Obama did away with the traditional Hail to the Chief Marine Band tune for Sting’s Desert Rose and Cole Porter’s Night and Day? Recent town-hall uproars weren’t just about health care. They were also eruptions of concern that the government is taking on too much at once. That suggests trouble for the president and his party, and fears of losses in next year’s midterm election are likely to shape the Democrats’ fall agenda. At August’s town-hall meetings, voters often started with complaints about health care, only to shift to frustrations about all the other things President Barack Obama and the Democrats have done or tried to do since January. The $787 billion economic-stimulus package, the government-led rescue of General Motors Corp. and climate-change legislation all came in for criticism. [Hope and change you can believe in. A video in which White House green jobs adviser Van Jones calls Congressional Republicans (and himself) “a**holes” is quickly making the rounds on the Internet this morning. Jones made the off-the-cuff remark in February, during his lecture at a Berkeley Energy and Resources Collaborative (BERC) event on the green economy. At the time, the Obama administration had not yet tapped Jones to serve as a special adviser on the White House’s Council on Environmental Quality. The slip happened in response to a question about the Democratic Party’s inability to push legislation through Congress. President Barack Obama is thinking of throwing more details and personal weight into the debate about a major overhaul of the American health care system, which polls indicate Republicans have been winning in recent weeks. Faced with falling approval ratings and increasingly impatient with Senate negotiations, Mr. Obama is considering a speech in the next week or so in which he would be “more prescriptive” about what he feels Congress must include in a health bill, top adviser David Axelrod said Tuesday in an interview. Unlike all other wealthy nations, the United States does not have universal health care. [Obama continues to bury himself deeper every time he opens his trap about this government takeover of our healthcare system. SEAN HANNITY, HOST: And tonight in “Your America” now, Democrats have accused town hall protesters of being trained by Republican operatives but there is more evidence tonight that liberal groups are the creating an Astroturf movement.
