Administration plans to wind down clunkers program.

The Obama administration is developing plans to wind down the popular Cash for Clunkers program and could announce by Friday when the incentives will no longer be available. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said Wednesday the department would announce within 48 hours how it intends to discontinue the program that offers car buyers rebates of $3,500 or $4,500 for trading in older vehicles for new, more fuel-efficient models. [This joke couldn’t go away quick enough,. what a mess it has been literally from day one…ed]

Limbaugh makes gay joke about Barney Frank; “He spends most of time living around Uranus”

Rush Limbaugh, apparently jealous and angry over attention-gathering toads turning “town-hall” meetings into a daily ruckus, has joined the “say-whatever-the-hell-you-want” hit parade, with a jab; well, not really, more an apparent joke mocking Barney Frank’s sexuality in response to Frank’s tough stance with a town hall protester last night. [Oh boo hoo uber lefty. Where was your sorry ass when every commentator on CNN and msnbc were calling people who attended tea parties, tea baggers? Huh jerkoff?…ed]

Spy Agency Fiasco.

CIA Director Leon Panetta stunned Washington earlier this summer by disclosing, in an emergency closed-door briefing to Congress, that for the last eight years, the agency he now runs illegally concealed a secret terrorist-assassination program. The reaction was predictably explosive. (SNIP) But according to a half-dozen sources, including several very senior, recently retired CIA officials, clandestine-service officers, and Cabinet-level officials from the Bush administration, the real story is at once more innocent—Panetta was mistaken; no law was broken—and far more troubling: an inexperienced CIA director, unfamiliar with how his vast, complicated agency works, unable to trust senior officials within his own agency, and desperate to keep his hands clean, screwed up. [This is what happens when you put a political hack with ZERO intelligence experience at the helm of the CIA…ed]

Whole fools: Wrongheaded boycott of upscale market over CEO’s health care push.

Sixteen thousand idiots on aisle seven. That’s the number of people in a growing Facebook group calling for a boycott of Whole Foods because of an alleged misdeed by CEO John Mackey. Did Mackey swindle his shareholders? Sell rotten free-range beef? No, he had the brains to offer employees an innovative health plan and the temerity to write about it on the Op-Ed page of The Wall Street Journal. [A well known fact, liberalism is a mental disease…ed]

Daily Gut: Barney Frank’s Heroic Stand Against Tyranny.

So Barney Frank finally found someone he could beat in a debate. The Congressman was speaking at a town committee meeting at Dartmouth, Massachusetts, when a crazy lady approached the microphone with a quivering rant – linking Obama’s health care plan to the Nazis. This was a lay-up for Frank, for the bug-eyed woman was a LaRouche follower, a member of a group of far-left conspiracy chuckleheads – who, like cockroaches, never go away despite the bug spray. These poor folks need medical help, not publicity, but Frank didn’t see it that way. It was his lucky day: he could speak truth to power, even if the power might have been a lonely shut-in. [The left wing media outlets were very careful in not identifying this wacky woman as a LaRouche disciple hoping the impression would be left that she was some right wing nutjob…ed]

Insurers: Dems mount ‘fishing expedition’

A spokesman for the health insurance industry accused congressional Democrats on Wednesday of mounting a “fishing expedition,” as dozens of individual insurers weighed whether to honor a request for sensitive financial records sought in a House committee’s investigation. Robert Zirkelbach, spokesman for America’s Health Insurance Plans, said top Democrats on House Energy and Commerce Committee hoped to “silence the health insurance industry and distract attention away from the fact that the American people are rejecting a government-run plan” as part of President Obama’s planned overhaul. [Gestapo tactics plain and simple. What millions of Americans would like to see are the complete background records of the guy occupying our White House….ed]

Arlen Specter's Views On Government Run Healthcare When Clinton Was President

arlen_specter - Copy

My my what a difference a decade and a half and a political party flip-flop makes when it comes to Senator Arlen Specter (D-GONE IN 2010).

Follow along as he shows, via a fancy graphic, what a mess Bill Clinton’s government run healthcare plan would have been for the American people back in 1994.

Of course now that he’s a Democrat this washed up waste of a Senate seat suddenly thinks ObamaCare would be a swell idea to have rammed down the throats of all American citizens even if they don’t want it.

New York Car Dealers Bailing On Disastrous Cash For Clunkers Fiasco

The federal government owned and operated “Cash for Clunkers” program has turned into an absolute disaster and many car dealers in New York have said they’ve had enough of this mess and have decided to throw in the towel.

New car dealers across America are stuck with millions of dollars out of pocket on the line while waiting to get reimbursed from the government for the up to $4,500 rebates that all taxpayers are paying for whether they happened to purchase a new vehicle or not.

According to some simple calculations the program’s $3,000,000,000 ÷ the roughly 16,000 nationwide participating dealers = about $187,500 available to each dealer. $187,500 ÷ by an average $4,000 per rebate = a grand total of about 47 vehicles per dealer. One could surmise that any sales beyond that number could quite possibly put the dealer in danger of eating the four grand even if the rest of the program was running smoothly and according to plan. Dealers were initially told they would receive these rebates within 10 days yet many consummated deals are weeks old and all these business owners are still waiting for their dinero from uncle Obama.

It appears it was a rare clever move made by the Congressional committee that came up with this pig of a program to force the dealers to destroy the trade in vehicle’s engine before they could even apply for the rebate. This way the dealer is truly screwed. They can’t even attempt to unload the functioning ‘clunker’ in an effort to recoup at least some of the money they have lost due to the inability of the government to properly execute this charlie foxtrot of a cash for clunkers nightmare. You know it really does suck having such an anti business administration in power doesn’t it?

The Smears And Slams On Potential Barbara Boxer Opponent Carly Fiorina Have Now Begun

Well it sure didn’t take long for the beatdowns to start happening did it?

Former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina has filed paperwork with the IRS as a first step in exploring a run as a candidate for U.S. Senator representing California. Most of the media has already decided she will easily defeat her likely opponent in the Republican primary, Assemblyman Chuck Devore of Irvine, and run head to head against three term incompetent…. er incumbent Barbara Boxer (D-Serious Moonbat) so naturally it’s time for the core Democrat base…er I mean liberal media machine to gear up and begin Palinizing Fiorina right out of the chute.

Let the smears and attacks begin!!

Republican Carly Fiorina, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO, took her first formal step Tuesday to challenge incumbent Democratic U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer – but does she pass the Citizenship 1o1 test?

Critics suggest maybe not, considering that Fiorina, 54, who has a spotty voting California voting record, never cast a ballot in two other states where she lived previously, according to public records.

Officials in Morris County, N.J., said records show she registered to vote there in 1997 but did not vote in a single election and was dropped from the voter rolls in 2005 as inactive.

Before that, Fiorina lived in Montgomery County, Md., where the registrar’s office said they reviewed state databases and found no listing of Fiorina’s voter registration.

Fiorina strongly disputes the voting records as “just wrong,” her spokeswoman, Beth Miller, said. Miller said Tuesday that Fiorina has no records to prove her past voting record and has acknowledged her failure to vote in some elections. But while “she didn’t vote all the time … she did vote,” the spokeswoman added.

Sucking Up Government Resources Seems To Run In The Obama Family

Kezia_Obama - Copy

First we heard about Obama’s aunt, Zeituni Onyango, living in the U.S. illegally even after being ordered to leave our country by an immigration judge when her request for asylum was rejected way back in 2004.

She apparently decided to make America her permanent home many years ago after first arriving here for a visit in 1975 or 1976 and we know she has been living in public housing and more than likely receiving welfare payments for quite some time. How an illegal alien who is on record as disobeying a lawful order to pack up and go home managed to qualify for taxpayer funded housing and more than likely her healthcare needs and other financial assistance is baffling indeed.

Now we hear Obama has a stepmother, Kezia Obama, who became quite smitten with the U.K.’s healthcare system for taking care of her many, and expensive, medical care needs over the years because she claims she didn’t have the means to pay for the procedures. Perhaps the story is more along the lines that she saw an opportunity to not HAVE to pay for her healthcare needs and jumped on it.

Naturally the timing of her speaking out on the subject is meant to help her stepson in his effort to ram a some type of government run healthcare program down the throats of all Americans even though the majority of citizens have clearly and repeatedly said they aren’t interested.

Obama And His Administration , , , , , , Leave a comment

Wednesday August 19th

Old school liberal journalist has finally come across an administration that scares him. Welcome to the club bud.

I was not intimidated during J. Edgar Hoover’s FBI hunt for reporters like me who criticized him. I railed against the Bush-Cheney war on the Bill of Rights without blinking. But now I am finally scared of a White House administration. President Obama’s desired health care reform intends that a federal board (similar to the British model) — as in the Center for Health Outcomes Research and Evaluation in a current Democratic bill — decides whether your quality of life, regardless of your political party, merits government-controlled funds to keep you alive. Watch for that life-decider in the final bill. It’s already in the stimulus bill signed into law.

Obama’s chief political advisor David Axlerod seems to have some rather troublesome issues that have come bubbling to the surface. Lots of informative links in this article.

The allegations in this Bloomberg story –if true– pose a huge problem for a senior advisor to the president, David Axelrod. This is the heart of the problem:

Axelrod was president and sole shareholder of AKPD from 1985 until he sold his interest after Obama’s victory, government records show. The firm owes Axelrod $2 million, which it’s due to pay in installments beginning Dec. 31. Axelrod’s son, Michael, still works there. He didn’t return a phone call. The firm’s Web site continues to feature David Axelrod’s work on the Obama campaign.

The problem is that Axelrod’s former firm is currently receiving huge fees “from Healthy Economy Now, a coalition that includes the Washington-based Pharmaceutical Research & Manufacturers of America, known as PhRMA,” as well as AARP, the SEIU and other big players in the health care debate.

If Axelrod has been negotiating any part of any deal involving any of these players which are funneling money to the firm that owes him money, or if he is advising the president on the deals with any of these groups, that’s a conflict of interest.

Obama’s incompetence is dragging the whole Democrat party down even though the left wing media has done everything they can to help them out and demonize conservatives.

The percentage of Americans who hold a favorable view of the Democratic Party has slipped below 50 percent for the first time since President Barack Obama took office, according to a new Pew Research Center poll released Wednesday. Only 49 percent of Americans now hold a favorable view of the Democratic Party, down from 62 percent in the same poll shortly after Obama assumed office. Democratic favorable ratings hovered around 60 percent as recently as April, when 59 percent of those polled held a favorable view.

The IRS+Democrat healthcare takeover=some bad news for Americans.

What do you get when you cross health care with the IRS? Something very scary. William Jacobson of Legal Insurrection explains that the IRS will getting reports of who has health care coverage, and enforcing taxes as part of the deal in both House and Senate versions.

Believe me Obama and his cronies are doing everything they can to drag these numbers down.

U.S. life expectancy has risen to a new high, now standing at nearly 78 years, the government reported Wednesday. The increase is due mainly to falling death rates in almost all the leading causes of death. The average life expectancy for babies born in 2007 is nearly three months greater than for children born in 2006. The new U.S. data is a preliminary report based on about 90 percent of the death certificates collected in 2007. It comes from the National Center for Health Statistics, part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Seems to me there is a real easy way to settle the question.

The gold medal favourite in tonight’s women’s 800m World Athletics Championships race is today facing claims that she is really a man. South African Caster Semenya, 18, is set to race in tonight’s final in Berlin after sailing through a semi-final on Monday in her first major international sporting competition.

U.S. Customs Agent Notices "Obama In The Middle"

A guy traveling through Mexico on vacation lost his wallet and all of his identification. Cutting his trip short, he attempted to make his way home but was stopped by the U..S. Customs Agent at the border.

“May I see your identification, please?” asked the agent.

“I’m sorry, but I lost my wallet,” replied the guy.

“Sure buddy, I hear that every day. No ID, no entry,” said the agent.

“But I can prove I’m an American!” he exclaimed. “I have a picture of Ronald Reagan tattooed on one side of my butt and George Bush on the other.”

“This I gotta see,” replied the agent.

With that, the guy dropped his pants and showed the agent his behind.

“By golly, you’re right!” exclaimed the agent. “Have a safe trip back to Chicago.”

“Thanks!” he said. “But how did you know I was from Chicago?”

The agent replied, “Easy, I recognized Obama in the middle.”

Now this is some scary stuff. No wonder the government wants a DNA database of as many people as possible.

Scientists in Israel have demonstrated that it is possible to fabricate DNA evidence, undermining the credibility of what has been considered the gold standard of proof in criminal cases. The scientists fabricated blood and saliva samples containing DNA from a person other than the donor of the blood and saliva. They also showed that if they had access to a DNA profile in a database, they could construct a sample of DNA to match that profile without obtaining any tissue from that person.

Speeders in Durham, N.C. beware. Knuckleheads armed with paintball guns are threatening to splatter your rig if you don’t slow down through their neighborhoods.

A group of Durham residents taking aim at speeders with the threat of a paintball gun said Tuesday that they are “amazed and gratified at the reaction.” The group, Angry Neighbors With Paintball Guns, posted signs at strategic locations throughout the city, warning motorists to slow down or risk being shot at with a paintball gun.

Obama “Joker” creator exposed. Gasp, it’s NOT some rabidly right wing white guy. By the time the loons on the left get through with this poor sap he’ll be a bona fide concealed weapon carrying conservative.

When cryptic posters portraying President Obama as the Joker from “Batman” began popping up around Los Angeles and other cities, the question many asked was, Who is behind the image? Was it an ultra-conservative grassroots group or a disgruntled street artist going against the grain? Nope, it turns out, just a 20-year-old college student from Chicago. Bored during his winter school break, Firas Alkhateeb, a senior history major at the University of Illinois, crafted the picture of Obama with the recognizable clown makeup using Adobe’s Photoshop software.

Hang on to your hats folks. Big honkin’ march on Washington DC planned for September 12th.

The angry Americans expressing themselves at lawmaker town halls around the country are heading to Washington. A planned September 12 taxpayer march on Washington, initially focused on taxes and corporate bailouts, is gaining momentum from the recent town halls where the administration’s healthcare proposal has been hit for being too big and expensive. Organizers are now expecting thousands to parade on the White House and Congress to demand that Washington keep taxes low.

Here’s a classic example of how NOT to use a firearm.

A clerk at a Ben White Boulevard convenience store has been charged with murder after police say he shot and killed a man who was stealing a 12-pack of Budweiser early Sunday morning. Jorge Luis Vielma, 22, and another man were on a “beer run,” according to police, and attempted to flee after taking the beer. Police say Juan Romero, 23, a clerk at the Shell gasoline station at Ben White and South First Street, fired about a dozen shots at Vielma outside the store as he ran for a friend’s waiting Mitsubishi Eclipse.

Energy workers gather to protest cap and tax bill in Houston.

Local energy workers jammed a downtown Houston theater today to protest climate change legislation that the U.S. Senate will take up in the coming weeks. (SNIP) Organizers of the event, billed as a dialogue on energy and the environment, told the Chronicle on Monday that legislation the U.S. House passed last spring will destroy millions of U.S. jobs and raise costs without reducing greenhouse gas emissions blamed for climate change. “It’s a dangerous piece of legislation,” said James Hackett, chairman and CEO of Anadarko Energy, which is busing employees to the event.

Gallup polling shows conservatives top liberals in all 50 states in the union.

Self-identified conservatives outnumber self-identified liberals in all 50 states of the union, according to the Gallup Poll.
At the same time, more Americans nationwide are saying this year that they are conservative than have made that claim in any of the last four years. In 2009, 40% percent of respondents in Gallup surveys that have interviewed more than 160,000 Americans have said that they are either “conservative” (31%) or “very conservative” (9%). That is the highest percentage in any year since 2004. [Too bad so many of these conservatives stayed home on November 4, 2008…ed]

A real doctor schools Mr. Know-It-All about healthcare in America. (Site may be temporarily down. Keep trying it’s worth it.)

Mr. President, I just read your op-ed in the New York Times. You must either be incredibly ignorant (e.g., pediatricians performing tonsillectomies, surgeons being paid $50,000 for an amputation), or else you believe that Americans are incredibly stupid. You justify a hasty and massive healthcare “reform” to save money, by spending an additional trillion dollars. You would fix a “broken” and broke Medicare system by adding another 47 million beneficiaries to government programs while arguing this will reduce overall costs. I’ve itemized your inaccurate claims, with my comments in italics.

I didn’t think it would take long for the White House to claim HHS chief Kathleen Sebelius was “mistaken” when she claimed a public option may be off the healthcare debate table.

An administration official said tonight that Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius “misspoke” when she told CNN this morning that a government run health insurance option “is not an essential part” of reform. This official asked not to be identified in exchange for providing clarity about the intentions of the President. The official said that the White House did not intend to change its messaging and that Sebelius simply meant to echo the president, who has acknowledged that the public option is a tough sell in the Senate and is, at the same time, a must-pass for House Democrats, and is not, in the president’s view, the most important element of the reform package.

Cost of treating illegal aliens responsible for most of Las Vegas hospital budget deficit.

A Las Vegas hospital providing emergency dialysis services to 80 illegal immigrants says that accounts for much of its operating deficit. The University Medical Center says the treatment will cost it about $24 million this fiscal year, aggravating a budget deficit that is expected to approach $70 million. UMC’s chief operating officer, Brian Brannman, said the hospital is required by federal law to treat anyone who shows up in an emergency but receives no reimbursement from federal, state or local governments for doing it.

I sure hope California can come through for the rest of the country and get rid of this clown Barbara Boxer come next years election.

Democrat Barbara Boxer’s quest for a fourth term in the U.S. Senate may give Californians a chance to pass judgment on Washington in the Obama era: Do voters approve of the early performance of the Democratic president and Congress? Or is it time to restore more power to Republicans, in this case to a controversial former Silicon Valley CEO making her first run for elective office?

The media covered Cindy Sheehan’s every move when she was running around protesting the wars when George W. Bush was in office. Now that she’s off to Martha’s Vineyard bet we don’t hear a word about her getting all up in Obama’s grille over Afghanistan.

This morning the anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan — the woman who spent so much time leading well-publicized protests outside President Bush’s ranch in Crawford, Texas — announced that she will demonstrate next week at Martha’s Vineyard, where President Obama will be vacationing. “There are several things that we wish to accomplish with this protest on Martha’s Vineyard,” Sheehan said in a statement:

Sunday August 16th

The manufactured healthcare crisis. Another great read from the American Thinker.com.

These are perilous times. Last November’s election of Barack Obama and a filibuster-proof majority of Democrats in both houses allowed a virulent cabal to capture our nation’s seat of power. As with the Democrat takeover of Congress in 2006, it was a disaster of epic proportions. With one shocking, enormous, blatantly partisan, self-serving and destructive proposal following on the heels of another, the sheer enormity of their power grab defies description.

I just came across the solution to all this healthcare nonsense and it’s so simple.

The most effective tactic used to stifle debate in politics is name-calling. As left-wing theorist Saul Alinsky noted in his “Rules for Radicals,” this is “cruel, but very effective.” After all, no one likes to be called stupid. And if you get your opponent to cry, so much the better. Perhaps, the second most effective tactic is less talked about, but certainly familiar to everyone. It dismisses all legitimate debate and criticism of a proposal with one pungent, paralyzing phrase: “What’s your solution, stupid?”

The Obama administration preparing to make America one huge ghetto.

The Obama administration, in a major shift on housing policy, is abandoning George W. Bush’s vision of creating an “ownership society’’ and instead plans to pump $4.25 billion of economic stimulus money into creating tens of thousands of federally subsidized rental units in American cities. The idea is to pay for the construction of low-rise rental apartment buildings and town houses, as well as the purchase of foreclosed homes that can be refurbished and rented to low- and moderate-income families at affordable rates.

Those wacky Afghanis I’ll tell ya. Maybe they’re onto something here though? Nah just kidding, or am I?

An Afghan bill allowing a husband to starve his wife if she refuses to have sex has been published in the official gazette and become law. The original bill caused outrage earlier this year, forcing Afghan President Hamid Karzai to withdraw it. But critics say the amended version of the law remains highly repressive.

$90,000 in government spending of hard working American’s tax dollars=one job created in Corpus Christi Texas. By the way there is no guarantee how long that job will exist. Nice work Mr. community organizer who’s never run anything in his life.

Corpus Christi’s cut of federal stimulus dollars will improve city roads, pay the rent for people living in housing projects, train math and science teachers and send more people to trade schools and college on government scholarships. Those projects, along with dozens of others, are part of about $200 million of federal stimulus projects coming to the area. The money should create close to 2,000 jobs, based on White House formulas. Those job creation numbers likely are “severely inflated,” said Jason Alaniz, the city’s intergovernmental relations project manager in charge of stimulus projects. “Some grants aren’t going to create jobs, period,” he said.

College student takes on Obama and challenges him to a debate. Says he’ll take on Dear Reader any time because he has the facts on his side.

After a weekend of relatively tame town halls President Obama found one vocal skeptic in a college student who challenged the President to an Oxford debate over the public option at his Grand Junction, Colo., town hall this evening. Zach Lahn, a 23-year-old student at the University of Colorado got the President’s attention after shouting out during the Q and A a few times. The President finally called on him during the end of the town hall. “I just want proof here that I’m happy to get a good debate going,” the President said, knowing that he could be wading into harsher waters than he is used to.
