During a June 16, 2009 Senate committee hearing entitled, “New Orleans Hurricane and Flood Protection and Coastal Louisiana Restoration: Status and Progress” Brigadier General Michael Walsh Commander, Division Engineer, Mississippi Valley Division US Army Corps of Engineers was offering testimony when the not so young junior U.S. Senator from California, Barbara Boxer had the unmitigated audacity to say…
“I had a… You know… do me a favor, could you say ‘Senator’ instead of ‘Ma’am’ – it’s just a thing, I worked so hard to get that title so I’d appreciate it, yes thank you.”
No doubt General Walsh has worked damn hard earning his rank too, Ms. Boxer and by the way you clueless nitwit, in the military “ma’am” is how one properly addresses a female officer.
Hmmm. So Ms. Boxer worked “hard” for that “title” huh? Seems like someone has lost track of the fact they are a servant to the people….not the other way around.
Certainly one thing this woman has never worked hard for would be our country’s military personnel.
That said, there is hardly any far left cause she hasn’t embraced during her far too many years in the U.S. Senate and she certainly made it her mission to do whatever she could to obstruct the Bush administration as often as she could for purely ideological reasons and nothing more.

From this socialist’s website where she lists what she calls her:
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Throughout her career, Barbara Boxer has been a progressive [read radical far left wing] champion and a strong voice for policies that will move our country forward. She stood up against the right-wing policies of the Bush Administration from the beginning. She has fought long and hard to promote progressive solutions — even when she was a lonely voice against the conventional wisdom.
* Against the War in Iraq: From the outset, Senator Boxer was a vocal opponent and critic of the use of force in Iraq. She cast her vote against the war in 2002, repeatedly criticized the Bush Administration’s go-it-alone/pay-it-alone strategy, and supported numerous efforts in Congress to force a redeployment of American troops out of Iraq. She authored amendments in the Senate to end the no-bid contracts given to Halliburton and to require the Pentagon to regularly report on the cost of military operations in Iraq. [50 million Muslims liberated. Looks like you were again a lonely (clueless) voice there Ms. Boxer]
* No Confidence in Gonzales: Senator Boxer cosponsored the resolution in the Senate to express a vote of no confidence in Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. [No confidence in the first Hispanic Attorney General Ms. Boxer? Why, you racist!]
* Opposed Radical Bush Appointments: Senator Boxer opposed the nomination of Condoleezza Rice to be Secretary of State and John Bolton to be Ambassador to the United Nations. She was the first Senator to oppose the nomination of John Ashcroft to be Attorney General. She also opposed the nomination of Alberto Gonzales to be Attorney General and Gale Norton to be Secretary of the Interior. [Opposed to the first black female Secretary of State Ms. Boxer? Why, you racist! Oh and your opposition for purely partisan purposes to all of the other people named here were in vain, they were all confirmed except for that great man Bolton but hey Bush had to do what he had to do in that situation.]
* Fought Extremist Judicial Nominations: Senator Boxer fought numerous attempts by President Bush to stack the federal courts with right-wing extremists. She voted against John Roberts and Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. She strongly opposed the nominations of Priscilla Owen, Leslie Southwick and Carolyn Kuhl. [More partisan opposition towards Roberts and Alito which didn't work out so well and what is up with knocking an opportunity for women to have some representation on the highest court in the land Ms. Boxer?]
* Ensuring Fair Elections: Following the allegations of vote tampering and voter suppression in Ohio in the 2004 presidential election, Senator Boxer was the lone Senator to challenge the certification of Ohio’s electoral votes. To ensure that every vote counts, Senator Boxer introduced legislation to require that electronic voting systems provide a paper record so that voters can verify their votes before they are counted. [Soros' hard work getting the left wing hack Jennifer Brunner elected as Secretary of State sure paid off in the 2008 election when she ran interference on 200,000 disputed ballots all the way up to the Supreme Court now didn't it Ms. Boxer?]
* Stopping Media Monopolies: As a member of the Senate Commerce Committee, Senator Boxer was a leading critic of attempts by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to ease restrictions on media ownership that would lead to even greater media consolidation – and a lessening of diverse voices and viewpoints on the public airwaves. [Bankrupt Left wing Air America and every other liberal radio programming effort has always performed poorly because the product sucks. Liberal cable news shows are always at the bottom of the ratings and liberal newspapers are going belly up all over the country. Liberalism=Big Fail in every single segment of the media Ms. Boxer and that is how the free market works.]
* Strengthening Civil Rights: Senator Boxer cosponsored and strongly supported the Civil Rights Act of 2008 to strengthen the nation’s civil rights statutes by, among other things, making it easier to show that an employer’s policies have had a discriminatory impact on minorities. [This means businesses in America can be extorted into hiring people based on their skin color and not because of their skill and talent. This is precisely why government is so miserably inefficient Ms. Boxer, it's so jammed full of people who are wasting space and drawing a check only because they fit nicely within certain racial parameters.]
* Protecting Women’s Right to Choose: Senator Boxer is recognized as the Senate’s leading advocate for protecting a woman’s right to choose. She led the Senate opposition to the global gag rule and to the bill banning a late-term abortion procedure that is sometimes needed to protect the lives of women. [60 million human lives have been snuffed out since Roe v Wade. Late term abortion means a child is partially born, a hole is punched in the base of their skull then their brain is vacuumed out. I believe this was the late George Tiller's specialty Ms. Boxer. Proud of yourself huh?]
* Regulating the U.S. Banking Industry: Senator Boxer was one of only eight Senators who voted against the Gramm-Leach-Bliley law that deregulated the banking industry and, according to many economists, led to the banking crisis facing America today. [Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, ACORN, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Democrats in general and yes even Barack Obama are the people and entities directly responsible for the economic mess according to many OTHER economists Ms. Boxer]
* Protecting Health and the Environment: Senator Boxer fought the Bush Administration attempts to roll back environmental laws that protect the health of the American people. She led the successful fight against the Bush Administration’s plan to weaken the arsenic standard for drinking water. She successfully shamed the Bush Administration into backing down from its proposal to eliminate funding to test poor children for lead poisoning. She forced the cancellation of an EPA-funded study to expose children to pesticides. [Yeah like any administration is going to say, ya know I think it would be cool to just "weaken the arsenic standard" of drinking water because that would benefit...umm...well...ahhh never mind that is just too stupid for words. Testing poor children for lead testing? Why wouldn't she advocate for the testing of kids who aren't "poor"...or do they simply not matter to these left wingers? EPA funded study to expose children to pesticides? What a pant load Ms. Boxer. Nothing but absolute hyperbole here.]
* Expanding Wilderness Protection: To protect 2.5 million acres of wild public lands, Senator Boxer introduced the California Wild Heritage Wilderness Act. Parts of her bill have been signed into law and 1 million acres are now permanently protected from new logging, mining, and drilling while remaining open to recreational activities. [No, what you did was once again hamper the ability of this country to access and utilize the natural resources within our borders which could easily begin to instantly reduce or eliminate our dependence on energy related products we are now forced to purchase from other countries. In addition the "recreational activities" are a myth because the rules and regulations are usually so strict one risks criminal prosecution if, God forbid, they happen to pick a 'protected' flower or step on some 'endangered' bug while inside one of these so called public parks and you know it Ms. Boxer.]
* Securing Civil Liberties: During the Bush Administration, Senator Boxer worked hard to protect our civil liberties. As one example, she wrote legislation to repeal provisions of the USA Patriot Act to protect library and bookstore records from unwarranted searches. She was an outspoken critic of the Bush Administration warrantless surveillance program. [Civil liberties Ms. Boxer? Start with protecting our Second Amendment which is actually IN the Constitution unlike just about everything you are so twistedly passionate about. Oh by the way, how's Obama's warrantless surveillance program workin' for ya these days?]
* Demanding Fair Trade: Senator Boxer voted against NAFTA and has opposed the so-called “Fast Track” process that allows the President to enter into trade agreements with foreign countries without full and complete oversight by the United States Senate. [Speaking of full and complete oversight by the U.S. Senate how about all these czars Obama is appointing without the approval of Congress workin' for ya Ms. Boxer? You know, all those people who are really running things--behind your back--and you can't do a damn thing about it. Or does your concern only bubble to the top when Republicans are in the majority?]
* Giving Employee the Right to Choose: Senator Boxer is a strong supporter of the Employee Free Choice Act, which would allow workers, not employers, to choose the method of organizing a union. [Public rather than private voting for union representation, which you laughably refer to as "free choice" is going nowhere because everyone knows you liberals were banking on it for one reason only, to increase the number of Democrat voters Ms. Boxer. You multimillionaire politicians could care less about the workers, you just want the votes to hang onto your power.]
* Increasing the Minimum Wage: For 10 years, Senator Boxer was a leader in the effort to increase the federal minimum wage to reduce the wage stagnation that was affecting 13 million American workers. [Yes, let's keep running up the cost of running a business so teenagers and active senior citizens, those mainly affected by this minimum wage silliness, will get laid off because the small business owners cannot afford to keep them on board them any longer. What a clever scheme huh? And who really pays for this artificial wage structure anyway? That would be every single one of us huh Ms. Boxer?]
America has had enough of these radical leftist politicians coming out of California because everything they stand for is dragging the entire country down the drain. All one has to do is look at the economic condition of the state that has foisted these disastrous politicians on the rest of us to see what is surely coming coming down the pike in the future.
Pelosi, Feinstein and Boxer have been mucking things up in this country for long enough and it’s high time the citizens of California wake the hell up and vote these idiots out of office starting in 2010 with the 68 year old Boxer and the 69 year old botox addled Nancy Pelosi. The soon to be 76 year old Diane Feinstein is due to be tossed out on her ass come 2012. Let’s get-em-retired folks!
And to you Brigadier General Michael Walsh, thank you sir for your service to this country. Most of us do appreciate it.

Barbra Boxer should be disciplined for showing disrespect to the General and just being an idiot. I notice she did not address him as “General”. I have never seen her lay her life on the line for this country.
It used to be that elected officials served the people. Now it appears elected officials like Boxer have such a large head that they are too good for common folk like the citizens that elected her to office.
