I have no idea how Bush was able to hold back and not knock this old hag to the turf after all of the garbage that spilled out of her mouth over the last eight years about him. Class act President Bush…right up to the very end.
Bush was handing out awards at the Kennedy Performing Arts Center and Streisand was there accepting hers while claiming “art transcends politics.” Well for at least five seconds.
After the show she was asked if she would have preferred President-elect Barack Obama as the host of the event, she told reporters, “That would have been lovely … or (former President, Bill) Clinton.” Well I’m sure Bush would have been delighted to have skipped right by you too B.S.
What in the world is it with Illinois politics? Since the 70’s three of the state’s former governors have spent time in the big house on various charges that all seem to swirl around the corrupt political atmosphere in that state.
Otto Kerner: Served from 1961 to 1968 – Kerner was convicted on bribery, tax evasion and other counts in 1973. He was convicted of arranging favorable horse racing dates as governor in return for getting horse racing association stock at reduced prices.
Dan Walker: Served from 1973 to 1977 – Walker pleaded guilty to bank fraud, misapplication of funds and perjury in 1987 though the charges were not related to his service as governor.
George Ryan: Served from 1999 to 2003 – Ryan was convicted of corruption in 2006 for steering state contracts and leases to political insiders while he was Illinois’ secretary of state and then governor and is currently serving out his sentence of six and a half years.
Rod Blagojevich: Was elected in 2002 on a promise to clean up state government. His predecessor was Republican Governor George Ryan who is now in jail for his own corruption conviction. “Blago,” under investigation for years was arrested this morning on (pdf)federal corruption charges. Oddly, even though he knew he was being investigated, he went before the media challenging anyone to go right ahead and tape his conversations.
“I don’t believe there’s any cloud that hangs over me. I think there’s nothing but sunshine hanging over me,” the governor said. I should say if anybody wants to tape my conversations, go right ahead, feel free to do it. I appreciate anybody who wants to tape me openly and notoriously, and those who feel like they want to sneakily, and wear taping devices, I would remind them that it kind of smells like Nixon and Watergate.”
While Obama continues to lie to the American people concerning his record on Second Amendment issues the good citizens of this country are going gonzo snatching up firearms and ammo like hell won’t have it. Now why would these folks be doing such a thing after all we do have the Constitution, we do have rights under such and our elected officials are sworn to uphold them so what’s the fuss? Why the panic buying?
Many popular (and super scary looking to the liberals) self loading centerfire rifles are virtually impossible to locate for purchase and the few that are on the market are commanding a premium price. Firearm merchants all over the country have substantial backorder for these particular types of weapons due to demand far outstripping supply. Bulk ammunition for purchase is becoming increasingly difficult to find with many retailers out of stock and with certain calibers the opportunity to resupply their inventory could be months away. I often wonder why some teachers do the dumbest things which they must clearly know will result in legal action against their school district. I’m almost to the point where I think it just may be intentional in some cases.
It seems eighth grade social studies teacher Eileen Bernstein, a white lady who works out of Haverstraw Middle School in Haverstraw New York, thought it would be a great idea to take a couple of black kids in her class and show them just what it was like to be a slave some 150 years ago. It’s hard to know where to begin with this one other than to say you just know this teacher has probably pulled similar stunts like this in the past with her students and has finally been called on one.
In this day and age where information must be provided to adults at a seventh grade reading level because a large part of the population cannot grasp and comprehend anything deeper than that we continue to have these people in charge of our children’s education pushing the dumbed down emotion based liberal agenda in the classrooms throughout the land. I got to thinking the other day just how amazingly popular Barack Obama is all over the world, especially after his election as the next president of the U.S. of KKK…A. Hat tip to Reverend Wright for that one. It’s incredible the amount of adoration this guy seems to have generated and he hasn’t done a damn thing yet! Not a day in office as president and a completely obscure political history in his previous life yet it seems the planet has gone mad with all kinds of folks trying to be the first to name something….anything after this fella.

What in the hell is going on with all of this piracy nonsense off the coast of Somalia? This dirt poor country has been essentially ungoverned since the early 90’s and by all appearances pretty much anything goes with the people that inhabit that hellhole. For months we have been hearing reports of pirate thugs zipping up and down the coastline in their little speedboats looking for then hijacking huge ships that happen to come within striking range then releasing them when the mega million dollar ransoms are met by the ship’s owners via insurance companies.
This is nuts! Why in the hell aren’t these bozos getting blown out of the water every time they get close to these ships? This isn’t rocket science. You see a small boat loaded up with a handful of scrawny dudes that happen to be armed to the teeth and you cut loose with a hailstorm of well aimed 50 caliber gunfire. Kill the perps. Sink the boat. You guys have your man at the top of the heap and a Congress firmly in the grip of some seriously liberal partisan hacks. Blaming Obama’s failures, missteps, screwups and boondoggles on Bush will only last for a short period of time so go ahead and get all of that nonsense over with quickly kids, even your own people won’t be putting up with that happy horsecrap for long. The CEOs for the Big Three automakers are getting ready to re-pitch their hopes for a taxpayer bailout to the world’s largest piggy bank, also known as our U.S. Congress, throughout this week. When these guys showed up with their tin cups and pet monkeys last month they ran into a bit of criticism by those holding the purse strings for having the audacity of arriving in Washington via private jets. Keep in mind those doing the hand slapping and finger pointing are the same folks that spent 621 million dollars (nearly nine times the original budget) on the brand spanking new Capitol Visitors Center so our esteemed Congressional representatives don’t have to smell stinky tourist who stop by to see how our government “works.”
When the CEOs first came to Washington looking to snag a nice round 25 billion dollar share of taxpayer money giveaways they were astonished to find out that a few people wanted to know what their game plan was to turn things around in their businesses so this chunk of change they were asking for wouldn’t simply go *poof*. “Ah, what? Imagine that. A law, that a criminal could care less about, prevented this woman from even attempting an effort to save the lives of people inside that restaurant. If it were possible, I wonder how many murder victims wish they would have had at least a chance to try and protect themselves, with a firearm, from someone getting ready to end their lives under circumstances like this. I do wonder indeed.
Her last sentence is exactly what the Founding Fathers meant when they sat down and formulated the Second Amendment to our Constitution. Perhaps that is the reason many politicians are so eager to do whatever they can to restrict the rights of American citizens to “keep and bear arms.”
…..may this woman’s folks continue to rest in peace together.
