Obama offers millions in Muslim technology fund

The White House Friday highlighted a new multi-million-dollar technology fund for Muslim nations, following a pledge made by President Barack Obama in his landmark speech to the Islamic world. The White House said the US Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) had issued a call for proposals for the fund, which will provide financing of between 25 and 150 million dollars for selected projects and funds. The Global Technology and Innovation Fund will “catalyze and facilitate private sector investments” throughout Asia, the Middle East and Africa, the White House said in a statement. Eligible projects would advance economic opportunity and create jobs in areas like technology, education, telecoms, media, business services and clean technology, the White House said. Obama declares swine flu a national emergency

President Barack Obama declared the swine flu outbreak a national emergency and empowered his health secretary to suspend federal guidelines at hospitals and speed up how infected people might receive treatment in a disaster. The declaration that Obama signed late Friday means Health and Human Services chief Kathleen Sebelius to bypass federal rules when opening alternative care sites, such as offsite hospital centers at schools or community centers, if needed. Hospitals could modify patient rules — for example, requiring them to give less information during a hectic time — to quicken access to treatment, with government approval. The declaration, which the White House announced Saturday, allows HHS in some cases to let hospitals relocate emergency rooms offsite to reduce flu-related burdens and to protect noninfected patients. [I feel soooo much better now that Obama has declared the pig flu a national emergency knowing that we have one of the most incompetent administrations this country has ever seen running the show…ed]

Profit Driven Swine Flu Propaganda – Pump Up the Volume Part 1

The pharmaceutical industry, with public health officials and the mainstream media acting as a mass marketing team, is about to pull off the biggest profiteering scheme in the history of the world. The swine flu hoax, perpetrated on a global level, will generate unheard of profits from a non-existent pandemic. The Obama administration declared the spread of swine flu a public health emergency on April 26, 2009. The Associated Press reported that “Swine flu is now formally a pandemic, a declaration by U.N. health officials that will speed vaccine production and spur government spending to combat the first global flu epidemic in 41 years,” on June 11, 2009. (SNIP) Since the “highest alert” warning was issued, the only estimation that has turned out to be true is that the drug companies are experiencing a windfall of tax dollars pouring into their coffers. [At least gun, ammo and vaccine manufacturers are making some big money in this crappy ass Obama economy…ed]

Soros calls Wall St profits ‘gifts’ from state

The big profits made by some of Wall Street’s leading banks are “hidden gifts” from the state, and taxpayer resentment of such companies is “justified”, George Soros, the fund manager, said in an interview with the Financial Times. “Those earnings are not the achievement of risk-takers,” Mr Soros said. “These are gifts, hidden gifts, from the government, so I don’t think that those monies should be used to pay bonuses. There’s a resentment which I think is justified.” Mr Soros, who joins a transatlantic chorus calling for limits on risk, leverage and compensation at big banks, said proprietary traders belong at hedge funds, not at banks, and that the compensation at Wall Street companies should be limited to prevent excessive risk. “With the too-big-to-fail concept comes a need to regulate the payments that employees receive,” said Mr Soros, who will elaborate on his views in lectures in Budapest next week. [Need any more proof that this Soros POS is one of the jerks pulling the puppet Obama’s strings?…ed]

Florida Journalist Speaks His Own ‘Truth’ to Those Out of Power

Some items need little comment. The email below, from a reporter of the Key News in Florida, speaks volumes about the mainstream media’s outlook on the political issues of the day. It is hard to know where to begin in dissecting this e-mail. Our personal favorite is the sense that, because Obama’s policies are so “needed” by the country, we can’t possibly brook any dissent. [Typical state run media “journalist” calls conservatives names and claims they want to see Obama offed. Seems to me people from around the country should be contacting this idiot’s editor and ask how they feel about this kind of vitriol from their employee…ed]

Obama a tough guy, at least with Fox News

Benjamin Disraeli’s most famous advice to aspiring politicians was: “Never complain and never explain.” For the greatest orator of our time, a man who makes Churchill, Lincoln and Henry V at Agincourt look like first-round rejects on “Orating With The Stars,” Barack Obama seems to have pretty much given up on the explaining side. He tried it with health care with speech after speech after exclusive interview for months on end, and the more he explained the more unpopular the whole racket got. So he declared that the time for explaining is over, and it’s time to sign on or else. (SNIP) The strange disparity between the heavy-handed community organization at home and the ever cockier untouchables abroad risks making the commander in chief look like a weenie – like “President Pantywaist,” as Britain’s Daily Telegraph has taken to calling him. [President Pantywaist! How appropriate for this guy who acts so tough with Fox News (and gets his ass kicked in the process) while bending over and grabbing his ankles in front of all the world’s thugs and dictators…ed]

Alex Jones' Latest: Fall Of The Republic, The Presidency Of Barack Obama

One may consider Alex Jones one hell of a documentary filmmaker or think of him as someone who is completely out of his freakin’ mind but regardless of what you think, he often manages to put together a collection of people (or a bunch of lunatics depending on how one feels) who offer up the kind of insight you certainly won’t find on the evening entertainment, errrr….news shows.

Uncovering the bull under the bailout

Congress put American taxpayers on the hook for $700 billion last year when it approved the massive bailout to paper over the imprudent lending decisions of nine Wall Street giants: Bank of America, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, State Street and the Bank of NY Mellon. The bailout was essential to save the nation from a complete economic meltdown. Or so insisted President George W. Bush, Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. One year later, however, a little-noted report by the U.S. Government Accountability Office questions whether the bailout — known officially as the Troubled Asset Relief Program — saved anything other than the jobs of greedy Wall Street executives and the political hides of their protectors in government. (SNIP) The madness in Washington won’t stop until the people completely clean house at both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue. [This should really make your weekend. Oh and BTW, the banks were FORCED by Paulson to take these funds, they didn’t come to the government begging for taxpayer assistance. We were robbed, bent over and screwed hard by Wall Street and Washington DC back in late ’08 and Obama is ready to whip out a big jar of vaseline and do us all dirty again. The 2010 election can’t get here quick enough, that’s if we’re allowed to still vote in this country next year…ed]

U.S. Existing-home Sales Rise 9.4% To 5.57 Million

Resales of U.S. houses jumped 9.4% in September to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 5.57 million, the highest in more than two years, the National Association of Realtors estimated Friday. Sales as tracked by the NAR are up 24% from January’s bottom, and are up 9.2% compared with a year ago. The median forecast by economists surveyed by MarketWatch looked for a smaller gain to a 5.38 million annual rate from a downwardly revised 5.09 million in August. [I suspect the vast majority of these sales were folks snapping up the 8K federal government handout just before the program “ends” in November (there is already talk of extending this thing on Capitol Hill) and investors grabbing foreclosures selling at rock bottom prices to convert into rental units. It has been reported that there are potentially millions more homes ready to go into foreclosure come 2010…ed]

Four-year-olds got homeowner tax credit, U.S. says

Children as young as 4 years old received first-time homebuyer tax credits as the U.S. failed to adequately screen filings, a Treasury inspector general told lawmakers today. “Some key controls were missing to prevent an individual from erroneously or fraudulently claiming the credit and receiving an erroneous refund of up to $8,000,” Treasury’s J. Russell George told the House Ways and Means Committee’s oversight panel. More than 1.2 million borrowers through Oct. 9 have claimed almost $8.5 billion of the $13.6 billion set aside for “first-time” homebuyer tax credits this year, George said. The program is aimed at easing the worst housing slump since the Great Depression. “Every time Congress creates a new refundable credit, meaning that individuals can get a check from the government whether or not they have actual tax liability, the incentive for fraud is magnified,” Louisiana Representative Charles Boustany, the subcommittee’s top-ranking Republican, said during the hearing. [The crooks living among us just love it when the federal government comes up with these taxpayer funded handouts! Damn, I wish I could bring myself to think like these people sometimes…ed]

White House attacks worry moderate Democrats

A White House effort to undermine conservative critics is generating a backlash on Capitol Hill — and not just from Republicans. “It’s a mistake,” said Rep. Jason Altmire, a moderate Democrat from western Pennsylvania. “I think it’s beneath the White House to get into a tit for tat with news organizations.” Altmire was talking about the Obama administration’s efforts to undercut Fox News. But he said his remarks applied just the same to White House efforts to marginalize the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a powerful business lobby targeted for its opposition to climate change legislation. “There’s no reason to gratuitously piss off all those companies,” added another Democrat, Rep. Jim Moran of Virginia. “The Chamber isn’t an opponent.” [A small expression of sanity escapes from a few Democrats but don’t get too excited, these people will fall back in line just as soon as they are threatened and punished for speaking out…ed]

Poll: Hopes buoyed on race relations

While some of the soaring optimism of Election Day has tempered, more than six in 10 Americans predict in a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll that Barack Obama’s presidency will improve race relations in the United States in the years ahead. Four in 10 say it already has. As the anniversary of his election approaches, the mood of the recession-battered nation continues to be generally glum: By 3-1, those surveyed say they are dissatisfied with the way things are going in the country, and Obama’s job-approval rating is a middling 50%. [I just scared the crap out of my dog when I burst out laughing after reading this article. Who did these clowns poll, the terminally stupid inhabitants of Washington DC? What a joke, this thing should be reprinted over at the onion.com…ed]

Hating Whitey Makes Unexpected Comeback

Here we are only nine months into the ubiquitously proclaimed “post-racial presidency,” and all that promised harmony among the races has disappeared faster than a Chicago minute. All it took for addled minds to conjure shadows of racism behind every whitey tree in the whole American forest were voices raised in dissent over the President’s far-left policies. No sooner had congress’ summer recess begun — without the President’s hoped-for passage of Obamacare — than the racist cries began their assent. Nancy Pelosi threw down the “swastika” gauntlet aimed at townhall attendees, which essentially tarred those citizens with white-supremacy slander. In early August an African-American MSNBC newsman actually declared that the word, “socialist,” being used to define Obama policies, was a new “code word” for “N**ger.” [Nearly 97% of blacks in America voted for Obama based solely on the color of his skin. Race prejudice is a two way street and I’m thinking there are a whole lotta people growing weary of Democrats using this issue for political gain at the expense of our country…ed]

China’s push for oil in Gulf of Mexico puts U.S. in awkward spot

A Chinese company’s gambit to drill for oil in U.S. territory demonstrates China’s determination to lock up the raw materials it needs to sustain its rapid growth, wherever those resources lie. The state-owned China National Offshore Oil Corp., or CNOOC, reportedly is negotiating the purchase of leases owned by the Norwegian StatoilHydro in U.S. waters in the Gulf of Mexico, the source of about a quarter of U.S. crude oil production. China’s push to enter U.S. turf comes four years after CNOOC’s $18.5-billion bid to buy Unocal Corp. was scuttled by Congress on national security grounds. The El Segundo oil firm eventually merged with Chevron Corp. of San Ramon. Whether CNOOC’s second attempt to lock up U.S. petroleum assets will trigger a similar political backlash remains to be seen. The sour U.S. economy and the need for Washington and Beijing to cooperate on potentially larger issues could mute any outcry. [Sure, this makes sense. Let’s let China drill for oil right off our coast but prevent American companies from doing the same. This way communist China can essentially steal one of our most precious resources from under our noses while heating oil and gas prices go through the roof in America while we remain dependent on imports. China Expands Cyberspying in U.S., Report Says

The Chinese government is ratcheting up its cyberspying operations against the U.S., a congressional advisory panel found, citing an example of a carefully orchestrated campaign against one U.S. company that appears to have been sponsored by Beijing. The unnamed company was just one of several successfully penetrated by a campaign of cyberespionage, according to the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission report to be released Thursday. Chinese espionage operations are “straining the U.S. capacity to respond,” the report concludes. [This would be a nice follow up to the previously posted article…ed]

Obama Meets With Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow

A day after key White House officials declared the Fox News Channel wasn’t a news organization, President Obama met with MSNBC personalities Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow. Talk about your delicious hypocrisy. Fittingly, the news was broken by FNC’s Bret Baier during Tuesday’s “Special Report.” (SNIP) Hmmm. So the White House thinks Fox isn’t a news organization because it has a perspective, and specifically points fingers at Beck and Hannity. What does the Adminstration think Olbermann and Maddow have? I guess it’s not a problem for a new organization and its members to have a perspective so long as it’s one the White House shares. [What do you want to bet old Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow have been told they need not fear any IRS troubles if they “forget” to pay their taxes as long as they keep up the mad dog attacks on Fox News and conservatives in general?…ed]

The feds take a shot at guns

For a decade, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been forbidden by Congress from doing research on gun-control issues. Such piddling hurdles as federal law don’t matter to the Obama administration. With a wave of a hand, the CDC has simply redefined gun-control research so the ban no longer applies. They’re not researching guns; they’re researching alcohol sales and their impact on gun violence, or researching how teens carrying guns affect the rates of non-gun injuries. (SNIP) The CDC’s brazen end run around restrictions on gun-control research is hardly surprising given that when President Obama served on the board of the Joyce Foundation, it was the largest private funder of gun-ban research in the country. Now he has the resources of the whole federal government. First we’ll get the half-baked studies followed by fawning press coverage. Then Democratic politicians and activists will pretend the gun restrictions they’ve always wanted were spurred by the new government research. [While the Obama administration is spending lots of time throwing all kinds of distractions out there, quietly behind the scenes they are diligently searching for any and every way to try and take our guns away. Devastating drop in job approval numbers for Obama in new Gallup survey

President Obama’s push for health care reform during the third quarter of 2009 has seriously damaged his public standing, according to new data from the Gallup Daily tracking poll. His job approval rating dropped nine points from the second to the third quarter, from 62 percent to 53 percent. The nine-point second-to-third quarter drop is the highest Gallup has ever measured for an incumbent president during his first year in office, and among the highest quarter-to-quarter drops measured for any president at any point: “Obama’s 9-point slide between quarters ranks as one of the steepest for a president at any point in his first year in office. The highest is Truman’s 19-point drop between his third and fourth quarters, followed by a 15-point drop for Gerald Ford between his first and second quarters. The largest for an elected president in his first year is Bill Clinton’s 11-point slide between his first and second quarters,” Gallup said. Gallup also noted that Obama’s average job approval rating has plummeted to among the worst since the polling organization began measuring presidential popularity and job approval. [Considering Gallup is famous for overloading their polls with Democrats and people who don’t necessarily have intentions of voting this truly is devastating news for Mr. Michelle Obama…ed]

Democrats Lose Big Test Vote on Health Legislation

Democrats lost a big test vote on health care legislation on Wednesday as the Senate blocked action on a bill to increase Medicare payments to doctors at a cost of $247 billion over 10 years. The Senate majority leader, Harry Reid, Democrat of Nevada, needed 60 votes to proceed. He won only 47. And he could not blame Republicans. A dozen Democrats and one independent crossed party lines and voted with Republicans on the 53 to 47 roll call. The Medicare bill has become a proxy for larger issues in the debate over legislation to overhaul the health care system. [Thirteen Democrats (spare me the “Independent” BS) joining all 40 Republicans in rejecting this “doc fix” scam sounds like some true BIPARTISANSHIP to me!…ed]

ACORN, Mediamatters.org On The Hot Seat After The Latest James O'Keefe Hannah Giles Video Release

barack-obama-acorn - CopyThe latest videos to be produced and released by James O’Keefe appear to expose ACORN as not only a corrupt and criminal enterprise but also a group that has no beef having their CEO Bertha Lewis appear on sympathetic cable “news” channels and attempt to stretch the truth a bit concerning an incident involving this dynamic duo and a Philadelphia office of the embattled Democrat party advocacy organization.

It also appears that the George Soros funded mediamatters.org, a close ally of ACORN, may have gotten caught up in the tangle web of deception in their efforts to shield the corrupt and oft indicted group.

According to O’Keefe he removed the audio portion of the ACORN worker speaking from the videos because of legal concerns but I think the tapes could have been much more effective had he not done this but then again I don’t have ACORN trying to sue me over this series of devastating videos that have been released over the last month by O’Keefe either.

The Public Option Deception (with Exclusive New Audio)

The public option has been a political football since early summer. The President has said more than once that he prefers it but will not demand it. This was considered capitulation by many on the left who see the public option as necessary for “real” reform. Meanwhile, belying the President’s public statements, there are reports that the President’s Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel has been quietly but firmly twisting arms in the back rooms to insure the public option is included in the final bill. Even now, pressure is mounting on Harry Reid to include the public option in the health reform bill he brings to the Senate floor. [See how the lying deceitful Democrats are conspiring to screw us all into a government run health care plan against the wishes of the majority of Americans. This one is a must read!…ed]

Public-Option Polling

The Washington Post poll is the latest example of a “public poll” in the past 2–3 weeks that curiously shows a growing number of Americans supportive of the “public option.” AP and Gallup were others. This is agenda-driven polling. The fact is: Asking an ignorant public about the “public option” is incomplete polling. It calls for a response to feel-good phraseology rather than a probing of underlying ideology. “Public option” in health care is not so different from “campaign-finance reform,” “Violence against Women’s Act,” “revenue enhancements,” and such. Our side has not done enough to discredit and expose the positive-sounding “public option” for what it truly is: a government grab of one of the most intimate matters people face, and one about which most of them are presently content. [The state run media polling does NOT reflect public opinion, it is purposely designed to SHAPE it for the benefit of the left wing agenda. To a mix of people used to being dependent on government handouts for generations and a frustratingly ignorant public this so called “public option” doesn’t really sound like such a bad idea. The rest of us KNOW what this nonsense is all about…ed]

Is the WaPo Stuffing Its Own Ballot Box for the ‘Public Option’?

he Washington Post touted a new poll on Tuesday that popular support is increasing for a government-run “public option” health care system – just as liberal Democrats try to push that into the Senate Finance Committee bill. The headline was “Public option gains support: Clear majority now backs plan.” So it’s not surprising, as Ed Morrissey found at Hot Air, that the Post is stuffing its poll sample with a few extra Democrats:

The sampling comprises 33% Democrats, as opposed to only 20% Republicans. That thirteen-point spread is two points larger than their September polling, at 32%/21%. More tellingly, it’s significantly larger than their Election Day sample, which included 35% Democrats to 26% Republicans for a gap of nine points, about a third smaller than the gap in this poll. Of course, that’s when they were more concerned about accuracy over political points of view.

The Post’s poll (illustrated by a chart) found respondents favored a public option “to compete with” private insurance by a margin of 57 to 40 percent. But even with the polling sample tilted toward the Democrats, some less favorable findings weren’t in the headline, as Dan Balz and Jon Cohen reported: [I just can’t imagine the Washington Compost rigging their polling with a huge oversampling of Democrats in order to push the the Obama administration mandated trojan horse referred to as (after extensive focus group research) the very misleading term “public option” which is really the precursor to complete government control over our healthcare system…ed]

Hoyer Says Constitution’s ‘General Welfare’ Clause Empowers Congress to Order Americans to Buy Health Insurance

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said that the individual health insurance mandates included in every health reform bill, which require Americans to have insurance, were “like paying taxes.” He added that Congress has “broad authority” to force Americans to purchase other things as well, so long as it was trying to promote “the general welfare.” The Congressional Budget Office, however, has stated in the past that a mandate forcing Americans to buy health insurance would be an “unprecedented form of federal action,” and that the “government has never required people to buy any good or service as a condition of lawful residence in the United States.” [You know, there are MILLIONS of Americans who feel the “general welfare” clause in our Constitution should be interpreted to include keeping illegal aliens and terrorists the hell out of our country Mr. Hoyer. When are you and your fellow Democrats going to jump on this major problem?…ed]

Grassley Warns HHS Web Site May Be ‘Propaganda’

Senate Finance ranking member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) is raising concerns that a Department of Health and Human Services Web site that urges visitors to send an e-mail to President Barack Obama praising his health care reform plan may violate rules against government-funded propaganda. The Web page is accessed through a “state your support” button featured prominently on the HHS Web site and carries a disclaimer that the Web site is maintained by HHS. In a letter sent to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius Tuesday, Grassley warned that “any possible misuse of appropriated funds by the executive branch to engage in publicity or propaganda in support of an Administration priority is a matter that must be investigated and taken seriously,” noting that in 2005 Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) argued that “the use of official funds for similar activities were ‘underhanded tactics’ and that these tactics ‘are not worthy of our great democracy.’” [Good Lord, these left wingers will stop at nothing when it comes to pushing their freakin’ propaganda! What’s next, freeway signs ramming home Obama’s agenda to road weary commuters every day? Unsolicited text messages on our cell phones? Pop up ads on our computers? This crap with these wackos is getting out of hand!…ed]

(SNIP) Investigators say Mehanna conspired with others between 2001 and 2008 plotting to “kill, kidnap, maim or injure” people in foreign countries and to kill two members of the Executive Branch of the U.S. government. Dictator Obama and Reaching the Point of No Return

As very few of our Congressional elected officials—Democrats AND Republicans—are taking any actions or exhibiting any desire to stop the Obama Dictatorship and We-the-People are now being completely left out of any and all legislation that directly affects us, I can only surmise that we as the Nation of the United states of America may have reached the point of no return in our rapidly forced descent into totalitarianism. From the anti-American and anti-human recently-passed Congressional bills, I have also concluded that—as these self-same elected officials no longer care what their constituents think—our attempts to stop the insanity of government officials summarily stripping us of our own money and our Constitutionally guaranteed liberties via peaceful means may have now come to an end. They haven’t worked. [Be sure to read this one and pass it along to everyone you know…ed]

Justice concludes black voters need Democratic Party

Voters in this small city decided overwhelmingly last year to do away with the party affiliation of candidates in local elections, but the Obama administration recently overruled the electorate and decided that equal rights for black voters cannot be achieved without the Democratic Party. The Justice Department’s ruling, which affects races for City Council and mayor, went so far as to say partisan elections are needed so that black voters can elect their “candidates of choice” – identified by the department as those who are Democrats and almost exclusively black. The department ruled that white voters in Kinston will vote for blacks only if they are Democrats and that therefore the city cannot get rid of party affiliations for local elections because that would violate black voters’ right to elect the candidates they want. [Imagine the OUTRAGE if a Republican administration tried to pull this shit!…ed]

VFW National Commander Urges Decisive Action in Afghanistan

The national commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. is concerned that the intense debate in Washington over the assessments and recommendations by the U.S. military commander in Afghanistan is posing a direct threat to troops as well as to the nation’s defense. In a statement, Thomas J. Tradewell Sr., a Vietnam veteran from Sussex, Wis., said, “In battle, weaknesses are exploited and attacked, which proved to be the case during the Vietnam War. North Vietnam correctly perceived that the United States government did not possess the political will to complete the mission, and that perception became reality. Their strategy revolved around the fact that U.S. political interests trumped important military decisions, which resulted in a lengthened war and more U.S. casualties. “In Afghanistan, the extremists are sensing weakness and indecision within the U.S. government, which plays into their hands, as evidenced by the increased attacks in Afghanistan as well as Pakistan. I fear that an emboldened enemy will now intensify their efforts to kill more U.S. soldiers. “President Obama’s primary responsibility is that of Commander-in-Chief, and he has a obligation to ensure his commander’s advice takes precedence over opinion polls and politics. [Sorry Mr. Tradewell, the current CIC could care less about our men and women putting their lives on the line for our country. He has an agenda handed down by the Maurice Strong, George Soros, David Rockefeller one world government cabal and he is more than willing to perform as their little puppet and follow their orders in exchange for him getting to play president…ed]

U.S. decision can’t wait for Afghan legitimacy: Gates

The United States cannot wait for problems surrounding the legitimacy of the Afghan government to be resolved before making a decision on troops, U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates said. Gates, speaking to reporters on board a plane traveling to Tokyo, described the situation in Afghanistan as an evolutionary process that would not improve dramatically overnight, regardless of what course is taken following the country’s flawed August election. “I see this as a process, not something that’s going to happen all of the sudden,” Gates said. “I believe that the president will have to make his decisions in the context of that evolutionary process.” [Gotta watch how you state that Obama needs to pull his head out there Secretary Gates before you find your ass thrown under the bus with General McChrystal…ed]

Excuses wearing thin for Obama, media pals

Have you heard the news? President Obama inherited an economic mess from the Bush administration. You say that’s hardly news? But it’s been the message sounded over and over by the White House. Top Obama adviser David Axelrod said on one of the Sunday news shows, “He walked in the door, we had the worst economy since the Great Depression.” In San Francisco, Obama talked of being “busy with our mop.” White House heavy hitter Rahm Emanuel used the worst-economy-since-the-Depression line on a public TV news show. You’d think it’s October 2008, the final month in the Obama presidential candidacy, rather than October 2009, nine months into the Obama presidency. Yet the Obama White House is in full campaign mode — maybe because it needs to mask the shortcomings of the Obama presidency. [Ouchy. One of Obama’s home town newspapers calls the community organizer out for the miserable failure, for America, he has been in the nine months he has been occupying our White House and flying around in our aircraft…ed]

Media Wars: White House Crosses the Line

Every White House complains about its press coverage. A contentious relationship between the Executive Branch and a free and independent media is part of America’s DNA. Always has been. But this White House seems to feel they’re different. It’s not just that the current occupant of the Oval Office has a particularly thin skin when it comes to criticism – which is especially ironic given that he’s been the recipient of more glowing press coverage than possibly any candidate or president in modern American history. But not since Nixon conjured up an “enemies list” have we seen the full weight of the Office of the Presidency brought to bear in such a targeted and deliberate effort to delegitimize a media organization critical of the President. (SNIP) It’s actually quite brazen when you think about it. The two most senior members of the Obama White House – men who control all the information and access to the Executive Branch, the lifeblood of most news organizations – went on national television and suggested that ABC, CNN and other networks follow the White House’s lead and join in its war to marginalize a competitor because it takes a “perspective” that displeases the President. [This Obama administration game plan is right out of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” but unfortunately for these Chicago political goons most Americans aren’t buying the brand of socialism they are selling. That’s why Fox News is KILLING the Obama loving media and will continue to do so as long as the juvenile behavior from the White House keeps up…ed]

Hume Defends Fox Again: Asks How CNN, Others ‘Like Being Patted on the Head and Given the Seal of Approval by the White House’

After another round of attacks from the White House, this time from higher levels of the Obama administration, Brit Hume, a senior political analyst for Fox News, went to bat for his network. On the Oct. 19 broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Special Report with Bret Baier,” Hume gave his best effort to rationalize why White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and Obama Senior Advisor David Axelrod used two Sunday morning news show appearances to beat up on the highly rated news channel.
