People are without power, freezing cold, hungry, homeless and at least 42 people have died because of a massive ice storm that passed through much of “flyover country” earlier this week. In a most un-stunning development the Obama administration takes the very same stance as the Bush crew when it comes to the concept of a U.S. president bypassing Congress and establishing a program “eavesdropping on Americans without warrants” as many like to phrase it. You just have to love the good old Homeland Security Advisory System or “terror alert level” as most people refer to it. Developed after the 9/11 World Trade Center disaster by the Office of Homeland Security it utilizes a color-coded terrorism threat advisory that is used by the government to supposedly assist the citizens with taking some sort of action in the event of a suspected terrorist attack.

Ford gets to keep their books closed and away from the government nitwits and in the end will certainly benefit from the deals and concessions made with union workers and parts suppliers as a result of GM and Chrysler opting to receive taxpayer money “to save their businesses.”
