Seven Former CIA Directors Implore Obama To Back Off Investigations Of Agency

How many times have we heard Barack Obama claim the GOP is opposed to his grand scheme to have the government take over our health care system simply for political gain even though we know the Democrats have all the votes they need in both houses of Congress to ram this garbage down the throats of all Americans without a single Republican vote?–President Barack Obama said he is confident Congress will pass “a good health care bill,” as months of rancor over reforming the nation’s health care system seemed to be easing Sunday, with the White House playing down an immediate role for a government insurance option.

At the same time, Obama was critical of Republican opponents who he said were trying to block an overhaul of the nation’s health care system for political gain.

“I believe that we will have enough votes to pass not just any health care bill, but a good health care bill that helps the American people, reduces costs, actually over the long-term controls our deficit. I’m confident that we’ve got that,” Obama said in an interview broadcast Sunday on CBS’ “60 Minutes. “There are those in the Republican party who think the best thing to do is just to kill reform. That that will be good politics.”….

So let’s get this straight, when the Republicans unite in opposition to the radical agenda brought forth by the equally radical Barack Hussein Obama it’s because they are just playing political games yet when this current administration pushes forward in investigating many people connected to the previous administration (simply to satisfy the hard leftists who have never gotten over the fact George W. Bush was twice elected president despite their underhanded efforts to prevent this from happening) it’s not?

Clearly the Obama administration’s insistence in going after CIA agents despite the fact Americans are overwhelmingly opposed to doing so indicates this action is being done for nothing more than political gain, the safety and security of our country be damned.–Seven former directors of the Central Intelligence Agency on Friday urged President Obama to reverse Attorney General Eric Holder’s decision to hold a criminal investigation of CIA interrogators who used enhanced techniques on detainees.

The directors, whose tenures span back as far as 35 years, wrote a letter to the president saying the cases have already been investigated by the CIA and career prosecutors, and to reconsider those decisions makes it difficult for agents to believe they can safely follow legal guidance.

“Attorney General Holder’s decision to re-open the criminal investigation creates an atmosphere of continuous jeopardy for those whose cases the Department of Justice had previously declined to prosecute,” they wrote.

“Those men and women who undertake difficult intelligence assignments in the aftermath of an attack such as September 11 must believe there is permanence in the legal rules that govern their actions,” the seven added.

The letter was signed by former directors Michael Hayden, Porter Goss, George Tenet, John Deutch, R. James Woolsey, William Webster and James R. Schlesinger…..
