Rep. Jan Schakowsky Calls Tea Party Participants Despicable

What would you think about a United States elected representative calling millions of citizens “despicable?”

Imagine exercising your Constitutional rights under the First Amendment to “peaceably assemble, and petition the Government for a redress of grievances” and having some arrogant liberal Democrat calling you names for doing so.

Well this is precisely what Rep. Jan Schakowsky (Marxist-IL) has said about those who attended ‘tea parties” all over the country on April 15. In a statement posted on her taxpayer funded government website she had this to say about Americans who are very concerned about the direction this country is taking and the future of their children,

CHICAGO, IL (April 15, 2009) – Rep. Jan Schakowsky, D-IL, released the following statement in response to “tea parties” being held on Tax Day.

“The ‘tea parties’ being held today by groups of right-wing activists, and fueled by FOX News Channel, are an effort to mislead the public about the Obama economic plan that cuts taxes for 95 percent of Americans and creates 3.5 million jobs. It’s despicable that right-wing Republicans would attempt to cheapen a significant, honorable moment of American history with a shameful political stunt. Not a single American household or business will be taxed at a higher rate this year. Made to look like a grassroots uprising, this is an Obama bashing party promoted by corporate interests, as well as Republican lobbyists and politicians.”

While the racist liberals in this country may think the recent election, which was marred by extensive voter registration fraud by the far left wing ACORN group and millions of dollars in illegal foreign contributions into the Obama campaign coffers, as historic the rest of us don’t see race in everything that takes place in this country. Obama is just as much white as he is black and those without a never ending racist agenda view Obama as an American citizen just like the rest of us. As a side note an American citizen is NOT the same thing as a natural born citizen which the Constitution clearly dictates as necessary to hold the office of president of the United States.

Liberals have had plenty of opportunities to put race over party and make history by voting for black candidates in the past but of course they did not so please spare the country your racist BS Representative Schakowsky.

Keep in mind there are few qualifications to become a member of Congress and none of them require a minimum level of intelligence. For this woman to proclaim as fact, without a shred of verifiable proof, that 3.5 million jobs will be created out of this massive amount of government spending is a crock. It’s clear the Democrats are adamant about blowing up the size of government to unprecedented levels but you can’t find enough places in this country to hide 3.5 million new government workers no matter how hard you try. What America needs are millions more private sector jobs which is what would spark the economic revival we need not more phony government positions that create absolutely no productivity and merely suck up billions of tax dollars to pay for inflated salaries and gold plated benefits.

As we can see she is parroting the same old tax cuts for 95% of Americans load of crap which is a demonstrably misleading statement at the very least. Few people in this country who actually shoulder the vast amount of the tax burden to begin with would consider an additional $13 more a week in their paycheck as much of a tax cut. Those that think people should be grateful for whatever the government allows you to keep even if it’s $13 a week are the kind of *ahem* misguided folks who haven’t quite figured out that money earned by an individual belongs to them, not Congress or the Obama administration. Of course that 13 bucks won’t mean squat in light of the administration’s plans to start screwing people over on charitable and mortgage tax deductions and this disastrous cap and trade garbage “which will cause everyone’s electricity costs to skyrocket.”

When Rep. Schakowsky (Marxist-IL) says,

Made to look like a grassroots uprising, this is an Obama bashing party promoted by corporate interests, as well as Republican lobbyists and politicians.”

I would like some proof to back that up. For this blatant far left wing partisan hack to merely spew whatever vitriol she wishes without anyone in the media demanding she back it up with facts is beyond irresponsible. Has she ever brought up the fact that George Soros is the guy behind CodePink, the group of lunatics that has marched in front the White House for years performing their idiotic stunts? Has she ever bemoaned the fact Soros helps fund MoveOn.org? Or all the other left wing political groups he and other socialist billion/millionaires bankroll? No, she has not and never will.

What I do find rather curious is why this particular far left wing hack decided to mouth off about these tea parties to begin with. Naturally when a politician goes off the deep end with a statement like the one she released it encourages some people to take a look at the person behind the nonsense. I am shocked, SHOCKED I tell you to discover that yes this woman has some background what with the convicted felon she is married to. According to federal law this guy can’t even vote for his own wife but we’re talking about Illinois here so no doubt he does so anyway.

The husband of an Illinois congresswoman pleaded guilty Wednesday to tax violations and bank fraud for writing rubber checks and failing to collect withholding tax from an employee. Robert Creamer, a political consultant married to four-term U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, could face four years in prison on the two felony counts when he is sentenced Dec. 21. (snip) Schakowsky has not been accused of any wrongdoing.

From wikipedia with plenty of sourcing,

On March 11, 2004, Schakowsky’s husband, lobbyist Robert Creamer, the executive director of the Illinois Public Action Fund, was indicted in federal court on 16 counts of bank fraud involving three alleged check-kiting schemes in the mid-1990s, leading several banks to experience shortfalls of at least $2.3 million. “He is innocent,” Schakowsky said in a statement. [well evidently he wasn’t so innocent after all…ed] In August 2005, Creamer pleaded guilty to one count of failure to collect withholding tax, and bank fraud for writing checks with insufficient funds. All of the money was repaid. According to USA Today, “Schakowsky has not been accused of any wrongdoing.” Schakowsky served on the organization’s board during the time the crimes occurred, and Schakowsky signed the IRS filings along with her husband. U.S. District Judge James B. Moran noted no one suffered “out of pocket losses,” and Creamer acted not out of greed but in an effort to keep his community action group going without cutting programs, though Creamer paid his own $100,000 salary with fraudulently obtained funds. On April 5, 2006, Creamer was sentenced to five months in prison and 11 months of house arrest. Creamer served his five-month incarceration at the Federal Correction Institute in Terre Haute, Indiana and was released on November 3, 2006.

“Schakowsky served on the organization’s board during the time the crimes occurred, and Schakowsky signed the IRS filings along with her husband.”

Ah the advantages of representing an overwhelmingly Democratic district where the voters don’t care what you do as long as you are a flaming liberal.

Sure she had no idea what was going on with her husband’s check kiting schemes to the tune of 2.3 million dollars while she was working for his organization and was signing IRS tax documents. You bet.

Just out of curiosity I wonder how this couple managed to reimburse these banks that “experienced a shortfall or 2.3 million dollars?” I wonder if the media ever looked into that?

Ah yes, here’s the lovely far left wing couple.
