Chris Matthews Thinks Navy Snipers Were Probably Just Lucky

Apparently Chris Matthews feels the Navy SEAL (or possibly Marine Scout) snipers were probably just lucky when they scored three simultaneous head shots on the pirates holding Captain Richard Phillips captive inside that enclosed lifeboat.

Reports have stated the lifeboat was being towed behind the U.S.S. Bainbridge at a distance of approximately 90 feet when snipers at the rear of the ship observed one of the pirates in the lifeboat pointing his AK-47 at the back of a tied up Phillips and the other two pirates on board were clearly if briefly visible. The standing authority granted by president Obama gave them clearance to engage the pirates if the life of the captain was in imminent danger. The on scene commander deemed this to be true and gave the order to fire.

BANG! Three rounds fired at the same time and three dead pirates hit the bottom of the boat forehead first. Not an ounce of luck involved here.

The “fabulous execution of these pirates?”

Umm Chrissy, they weren’t “executed” they were killed while holding an American hostage under the constant threat of imminent death.

Big difference dummy.
