Obama Chooses Hillary Clinton (and Bill) As His Secretary Of State.

11-17-08

I wonder if this could be the beginning of the end….of her political career? Word has it that she is probably willing to accept an offer from Obama to become the Secretary of State in his administration. Did I just say “his?” Let’s put it this way, it would be like comin’ home for Mrs. and Mr. Clinton if they were to start trolling the halls of the White House again if this indeed does go down considering all of the familiar faces they would be seeing on a daily basis. Yes, I do mean “they”, the Clintons come as a big furry angry package, and Obama is going to find that out in short order if this turns out to be a legitimate situation.

That said, Obama is one shrewd dude and I think there are a few very specific reasons behind his job offer to Mrs. Clinton. She was a potent rival and many in the Democratic party think she was hosed big time in the primary. Just like the presidential contest became rather spirited the Democratic primary had it’s moments with Clinton claiming Obama had absolutely no game other than some rousing speech he gave at the DNC convention back in ’04. I doubt there is any love lost between the two camps as evidenced by the very tepid support Obama received from the Clintons during the presidential election and the fact that he had never considered Hillary for his veep.

Now this whole thing really boils down to who is just a little bit smarter that the other and right now Obama has the upper hand. Why is that? Simple. Obama has not been vetted by anybody except for the radical far left and America hater George Soros. He has demanded that virtually all records of his past be sealed and the lamestream media has been very compliant and complicit in assisting him by not asking any probing questions or investigating his background worth a damn. Conversely he is demanding that anyone wishing to become part of his administration go through a (pdf) grueling and exhaustive background investigative process, again the kind of scrutiny that Mr. Obama has thus far managed to avoid.

Hillary on the other hand has been in the public eye for quite some time and while many may think they know the Clinton’s background pretty well, believe me they don’t. Part of the SoS vetting process will include very probing questions into parts of the Clinton team’s past that few living souls have any knowledge of including whatever Bill has been up to since he zipped it up and moved out of the Oval Office. They have no choice as any spousal shenanigans are just as big a part of background anal exam as they are for the nominee. Advantage… Obama.

Imagine having a political rival’s deepest darkest secrets available for future reference to be used as pressure or even blackmail whenever the ideal opportunity presents itself. Perpetual royal flush in hand forever it would seem. In addition Obama will have Clinton under his thumb as long as she serves in the position not to mention she will be subject to dismissal on a whim, effectively ending her political career for the foreseeable future. What, no Clinton name floating around in the political world? What will we do folks?
Advantage …Obama.

The Clintons are well aware of Obama’s inexperience and naivete on how the real world (bogus campaign speeches aside) turns and will no doubt have one hell of a time taking orders from the rookie. It is probably not much of a stretch to think that Clinton, in her new role as SoS, will be flitting all over the world doing her own thing or perhaps continuing on with the doctrines of the previous co-presidencies she shared with her husband. It is my belief that this is precisely what Obama hopes will happen. Why? Because that way he can let her go as an insubordinate employee and be done with her come 2012 due to the box full of confidential information on hand.

The Clintons are far less malleable than Obama at this stage of Soro’s plan for this country and would probably present more problems than they would solve in the overall scheme of things so my guess is this may be the most efficient method of getting them out of the way for good.

We shall see.

Game, set and match…Obama.
