It appears that Barack Obama is taking some time away from the campaign trail later this week to be with his ailing grandmother. Normally one would have some compassion for someone when a close family member is not doing well and wish them the best even during a raucous and rowdy political race. That said the timing of this trip could be seen as rather odd.
It’s no secret among those that do not rely upon the lamestream media for their news that Obama faces several lawsuits throughout this country concerning his eligibility to hold the office of president of these United States. His unwillingness to produce an authentic version of his birth certificate is what seems to be spawning all of these lawsuits.

Andy Martin has just filed suit in Hawaii in yet another effort to force Obama’s hand at this ridiculous issue that could so easily and quickly get cleared up with just a little cooperation on his part. Martin is currently conducting an investigation of Obama’s Hawaiian past and his family connections right on his “home” turf. He will be releasing reports of his findings over the next three days and cryptically promises that, “Obama will not like what I have to say in this series. But, no surprise, Republicans may not like what I write either.”
One of Obama’s favorite media backers, msnbc, has reported that Obama will remove himself from campaigning this upcoming Thursday and Friday to tend to his grandma who has had very little to say about her famous grandson throughout the presidential election race. Michelle Obama will not be making the trip with her husband.
Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama is canceling nearly all his campaign events Thursday and Friday to fly to Hawaii to visit his suddenly ill 85-year-old grandmother, his spokesman said.
Robert Gibbs told reporters Monday that Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, who helped raise him, was released from the hospital late last week. But he said her health had deteriorated “to the point where her situation is very serious.”
Citing the family’s desire for privacy, Gibbs would not discuss the nature of Dunham’s illness. It seemed likely that she was close to death, as Gibbs said that “everyone understands the decision that Sen. Obama is making.”
We will have to wait and see how this all unfolds but if Mrs. Dunham is actually in as bad of shape as it is reported then the timing of Obama’s trip truly is just a big cooinkydink and has absolutely nothing to do with Martin’s investigation. What I find kind of unusual is why Obama is waiting until Thursday to visit grandma if she is indeed deathly ill? How would he know she can hang in there until then? Interestingly enough his campaign is saying, “Obama was expected to resume campaigning on Saturday, though Gibbs was unsure where.” Maybe she will make a remarkable recovery after the quick visit from the messiah.
